My MIL lives in an alternate reality 99% of the time and I always joke about living in such ignorance, but I'm not going to lie - a few months ago, I decided to stop watching local news & to un-follow all local news on Facebook. I hate to live in the ignorance is bliss world, but it was story after story about child or animal abuse and it was seriously bringing me down.
