I pass the Colesville Road exit on the Beltway every day on my way to and from work, and now every time I do I'm thinking about this show.

understand we are 5 months out but quick q for the mpp regulars:

says on site that parking lots open 1 hour prior to gates. assuming gate time is 630pm we're looking at 530pm for lots? is that all lots? as a camden regular this seems late.

are those lot times loose for certain shows or is 530 legit?

You can often get into SOME lots earlier. Lots 3 and 5 are typically open early. The venue will post about it as the show gets closer. But don’t plan to show up at noon.

However, some of these lots are also office building parking, so the hours are limited. Get your parking pass early.

That makes sense, thank you! Yeah I was surprised how strict they were about tailgating in the garages for Phish, though that may have just been a Phish thing. Looking forward to it!!

Garage 2 did not mind tailgating the few times I have been there as long as you did not put chair in the path where cars would pass. They did not mind a few people near their car(s) having concealed cups and enjoying themselves. They do not allow grills as someone stated before. Garage 4 is more strict. There have been times where they patrol constantly and tell people to leave the garage and other times it has been similar to Garage 2 and as long as the gathering is tame they don't mind.

I at least need WH lawns...gotta have a shot at the poster if we're not getting seats.

It seems to me, however, that MPP should become a new 2-nighter...as others have suggested. ESPECIALLY if JLL and Camden are out of the rotation.

Area radio station has an online contest for tickets. Looks to be an online entry, not a call-to-win

This is the only chance to win tickets I’ve come across yet, but you can enter daily. Usually radio station tickets are lawn seats, but if you need a Hail Mary play to get your tickets, this is all I’ve seen so far.

I hope it does. But if its a 2 nighter, I think it’ll become an even more popular spot. Especially once people see how nice it is.

Ha...fair enough. Actually, maybe! I'm sort of planning this show as my "bachelorette" party as I'm not into any of the typical going out stuff. So, I'm wondering the best way to get a group of 10-15 people there together without having anyone in the group be forced to drive.

Well, let me tell you. I had a dream the other night that my neighbor threw a party for his wife and ordered a party limo for everyone in the cul de sac. Only what showed up was a truck pulling a trailer with a really long boat hull with benches and lap belts and we all sat on the benches in this open air boat hull like a giant canoe. I'd recommend against that if it actually exists. Seems like it would be dangerous.

It worked for me. I have noticed that Google Docs don't work well on phones so maybe try on a real computer if you were trying to update on a phone.
