    Cobble together some kind of transition ending for him with what you have, then pivot to Mike (which is who the spinoff should have been about in the first place)?

    Other than that, yea, I'd think it'd just have to be done. Definitely can't replace the actor.

    I suspect so. Given it's a prequel it's not like you can write him out and wrap things up over the last couple of eps.

    Hoping for the best, obviously.


    Edit: Matthews plan would also work. A pivot to Mike could work.

    I think about this scenario a lot. How shows like Seinfeld, Friends, Modern Family, etc were long running shows where no one from the cast died during the run. Are there any actors/actresses that passed away during their shows run?

    Bob is the exception since he is the show's namesake character. I guess they could bring in Kevin Costner and just acknowledge it's a different actor playing the same character.

    Fantastic news. Saw the news break on Twitter last night and the longer it went it felt more and more like Tom Petty. So glad it’s good news.

    Also, had shit gone bad I think he would have loved the Kevin Costner idea. Would be hilarious and could still wrap up the character of his career.
