Getting ready for my two shows coming up this weekend/next week. I've listened to their discography a few times over and I gotta say I think AJFA may be my favorite Tallica album now. It's such an incredible album start to finish.

Really hoping for a Blackened, One & Harvester of Sorrow at either or both of my shows.

Going to two shows, you will for sure hear One. Twice.

Enjoy the hell out of those shows. The entrance they make to Ecstasy of Gold gives me goosebumps everytime.

    Always enjoy that.

I'm not a fan of the Hardwired pre-recorded intro they do though.

But I'm not really a fan of pre-recorded music at concerts when the band is literally standing right there.

Haha! That's good to hear. I'd take any of those three at every show.

They've been doing that for awhile now, Death Magnetic intro was the same way. And at least the 1st half of the Magnetic tour they had several pre-recorded intro slots thoughout the set. Normally I agree, its pretty weird with a band right in front of you. But with the concert in the round set up they are doing its about the only way to get instruments swapped in and out, and other stage props set up, without having dead air for 5 mins.

I like the prerecorded intros but I wish they’d do a non album tour in the states. Nothing crazy like worlwired. Open each night with ecstasy into an instrumental. It’d be awesome for them to take more chances at this stage. The fans would be appreciative and forgiving

Anyone know the best site/forum that I should attempt to look for a single ticket? Like ants.org for Metallica? Resale is off the charts

Check the metallica official forum. There’s a running thread there. Crapshoot tho

Got to see them in LR last night. Good show. Great seats. Sat next to some really cool people. Guy and his wife on my right were Deadheads. Guy on my left was a brewmaster for a craft beer place in Fayetteville, AR. Both were old school metalhead. I had on a KISS shirt and they talked about being members of the KISS army in their youth.

The show was really good. I kinda expected something a little more life changing but it was a really great show. Lots of quality songs plus we got Hit the Lights, Fade to Black and Spit Out the Bone. Hoping we get more AJFA in Nashville. But it was fun to see them and I'm grateful for the chance. I mean these guys are the biggest name in metal and probably always will be. Real legends that still kick a whole lotta ass.

The Tulsa show might have been that. A Soundgarden cover and Blackened? Damn. Fingers crossed that Nashville is on the rotation to get a somewhat different set. I really like Spit Out the Bone on the album but wasn't very excited live.

As much hype as I saw online for SOTB I really expected the crowd to be way more into it. It was pretty disappointing from that standpoint. I'm really hoping we see something different in that slot.

But this is exactly why I bought a ticket to Nashville too. Little Rock is such a disappointing concert destination and the crowd/band rarely make it the best show. I know Nashville will be way more into it and I can see the band being more into.

SO glad I did Nashville too instead of just Little Rock.

Completely different atmosphere last night. Crowd was way more into it and the band played to it. Not to mention, I got all 3 AJFA songs (Blackened/Harvester of Sorrow/One) I wanted at the Nashville show. Night and day difference in every aspect of the show.

Great setlist on that one. Blackened is so F'in good live! Overall, I preferred the stage design from the Magnetic tours, but the video cubes are still pretty cool. And I love the drone moths on Moth Into Flame, great use of tech.

Just got back from Nashville after extending the trip a bit. Great town and a great show. I was really impressed with the sound quality and production, had no idea those drones were coming out in Moth! Highlight for me along with Blackened and Harvester

Loved the show in Raleigh last night. Thought the Jim Breuer hype man opener was a cool touch. Whiplash and Fight Fire with Fire were nice surprises. Was hoping for Fade to Black over Welcome Home Sanitarium but still awesome!

Those drones were wild during Moth Into Flame

So I've been waiting anxiously like crazy to see them again since the Hard-Wired after seeing them on the load, st. anger and magnetic tours. Finally they're coming back to New Zealand in October. So stoked

I'm surprised how long the Hardwired tour has lasted. I feel like they're due for a lengthy break but maybe they've been writing some tunes and been inspired since they're playing together so much.

Wasn't a huge fan of the S&M thing when they first did it... but I think where the band is at now, it could be much better.

all i took from it is 2020 is to be busy for them as well, which means they're still around. plus, they're looking to studio, so they'll still be around.

    so it's (good) news

and gonna try to go to S&M2
