Re: The NBA Thread

I don't even remember that. I don't remember a lot of things from my college days.

To be honest, Kukoc's NBA career can very much be likened to OKC Harden. He was capable and skilled enough to do so much more, but took a back seat to MJ and Pippen.

Odom’s injuries weren’t kind to him either

Huge win for the Sixers tonight.

Also, to Justin, not having Embiid as one of your MVPs is laughable

Stacked year, 3rd easiest schedule, eastern conference. Embiid has had a great year but I'd be more inclined if Philadelphia had more signature wins tbh

I believe they have a tough stretch coming up, we'll see

Honestly the MVP race is a two-man race right now. It's either Harden or Giannis. Not really sure you can make a legit argument for anyone else at the moment.

With all the injuries and no legit second star, Jokic has a semi strong argument to be in the ballpark considering Denver’s standing

Obviously a level below Antetokuonmpo and Harden so far but Jokic could creep easily up if both happen to slump or if Denver goes on another tear

Possibly, but numbers just aren't there right now. If the Deer fade, I could see it. I could see him jumping Harden if the Rockets continue to fall. Then again, people love big numbers and no one does that better than Harden.

I think Giannis has the biggest talent gap of any star player between him and the next best guy. Deer also clearly don't have a second star. Middleton is not one, Brogdon is nice but isn't and same goes for Bledsoe.

With this last two month’s iteration of Houston, Harden has an argument about lack of second star as well, but we would just be splitting hairs. Antetokuonmpo has had the consistently better season all things equal. It is his to lose and I think he should get it even if Milwaukee slips as far as 3rd. But if Harden continues to average 40 I would start thinking about it

Hopefully Oklahoma City considers their slide

I think they will make Philadelphia struggle to score but they won’t have the offense, Philadelphia wins 108-100
