yeah... but i'm currently on the phone with At&t for the past hour trying to get my upgrade.

the home button on my iphone4 stopped working and i took it to the genius bar and they gave me a new iphone4, as they should. but apparently the "genius" used my upgrade to do so rather than just CS it out like he should have and didn't even tell me about it. fucker.

i'm still on the phone right now and it sounds like it's going to get fixed, but it was a bitch trying to explain to At&t why it is retarded that i would voluntarily upgrade from an iphone4 to an iphone4....

I'd make sure to get something via email with names and times and all that if you aren't using the upgrade right now because who knows if it'll be there in a month or whenever you're planning on using it.

finally got off the phone. they had to open a "case" to basically void the "new" contract that the apple genius signed me up for with out telling me last November... which would in turn make my upgrade eligible again.

someone from at&t is supposed to call me on the 11th and tell me it's all wrapped up. got a confirmation number, of course.

that sucked, but glad it worked out.

Expensive but worth it. And it's not just tech, it's almost like a lifestyle. Apple products make all areas of my life easier in a way the PC never could. And it's all synced together in the most simple and beautiful way. Steve Jobs was a true genius because he knew what consumers wanted and needed, and gave it to us.

Every product I use is apple. Everything just works the way it's supposed to. I have a Macbook Pro, iPod Touch, iPhone 4s, and an iPad 2. I'm considering getting an apple tv for movies.

I haven't crossed over to AppleTV yet. I need a better TV to run it. I have a 19" tube TV I've had since college.

My sister has one and it's amazing. My favorite features are iTunes Match (Lets your music in the cloud) and Photo Stream (lets you view all your photos in the cloud), which works across all apple devices. But I might wait until apple releases a tv set. It's inevitable that they'll release one. Imagine a "retina" tv with Siri.

thinks have been leaking out. i created a thread about it a while back.

retina display with iOS/siri is going to be awesome.

if apple does put retina displays in 50" sets, we could see the next evolution of dvd/bd/??? sooner i'm guessing.

but last i checked, apple is only working on like a 32" at largest...

If apple has anything to do with it, I'd guess no physical media at all. Just DL the HD file(s).

What's everyone's experience with Mountain Lion so far? I'm still running 10.7.5, and was getting ready to upgrade but then I did some reading on MacRumors forums it seems there are still some annoying bugs with the latest release, 10.8.2, that it's making me wonder if I should just wait until the next update comes out. Are the pros of ML worth putting up with these bugs if someone's content with Lion for now?

No real bad problems here but honestly my ML box is almost solely a media machine any more. All my real computing work is done on a beefy Win7 workstation and I wound up selling my MBP recently as it was gathering dust due to using the iPad for nearly everything mobile.

Messaging is still not working well for me if that matters to you. Others say it's syncing fine for them though. Some finder and iTunes crashes but I can't think of anything else that I've noticed and nothing that has caused any real issues for me and what I use it for. It's running on a current gen Mini. Oh, my dock is misbehaving now and then too but it's workable.

well, this was the second time i upgraded the ram. i always buy the least RAM possible, then upgrade aftermarket... saves so much money.

i went from 2gb to 8gb, and now to 16gb.

    Early 2011 MBP 17".

RAM is cheap as shit right now: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006ON5KZC/...60_M3C_SC_dp_1

Maybe you guys can help me out.

Using an early 2008 MacBook. Has been AWESOME for the most part, but is starting to show its age. It's starting to slow down A LOT.

I've attached a pic of the storage. What is this yellow "other" ?? 72GB is a lot of "other" space. Any way to clear that up?

I have 2GB of RAM, and was hoping to upgrade that soon as well. I don't really use the computer for much. Usually just to surf the web and it is where I store all my music. Any other suggestions as to how I can speed this thing up??
