Genuine interest, actually. In both the topic, and in keeping active discussion going. Older threads get stale and die out. New threads generate more activity.

But I've actually created very few threads in the last month or two. You can check that if you dont believe me.

Obviously he was at the helm for the 3 great DMB albums, but most of that material was written without him. He produced it beautifully, but let's hope he can coax some better songwriting out of them like he did for parts of BTCS. Because no matter how good the album sounds, if the songs aren't there it will not really matter.

And he coaxed some pretty great songwriting for the Sessions as well.

The good songs from SU + the good songs from BW = C+. If the new album isn't Tim heavy, it could reach a C- or C.

I'd be shocked if a brand new song is better than Lying In The Hands Of God. If it wasn't for Lillywhite, anything brand new wouldn't stand a chance.

Well that song was written just a few years ago, so Im sure they've still got it in them.

Second, thats just one song. The album as a whole I can definitely see being better than BW as a while. And it better be better than SU, otherwise Ill kill myself.

Well that was my point. The good stuff from BW and SU was pretty good. As a whole, if the new album is worse than BW and SU, there are serious problems. Not fixing Tim would be starting off in a massive hole too.

I could actually, in all seriousness, see Steve Lillywhite committing suicide if this album is as bad as Stand Up.

We probably just have a difference of opinion of what the good stuff is.

BW top 5: B ish
SU top 5: D maybe

And I have faith that they can do better than a C
