    dave can't go the neil young way. Neil young walked out of every band he was ever in. He has come back and done stuff with them after. but just that dave has been in DMB for 20 years i think makes it hard from him to go the "neil young way"

    I see Dave doing something like Cash towards the end. Not necessarily fully orchestrated Some Devil-esque albums but something. Plus, 20-30 years from now music distribution is going to have changed so much again anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if he just like randomly drops songs or something (ala Eh Hee), not even full records.

    almost easier than that, I think i can imagine dave just stopping. going to back to drawing, being a father and raising a family.

    I think of that big whiskey video where he describes music as this interruption in his life. I think he loves writing and playing music, cherishes the memories and looks forward to more. but not above everything
