Really glad I'm not going this summer. Don't wanna pay more to see less of the band I love.

I love Boyd and will miss him. Maybe he makes an appearance at some shows later on in the tour?

Lots of questions..... one of them would be how prominent is Boyd on this new album??

Well if Cavallo is producing, we'll hear the same amount from Boyd as we did on Big Whiskey.

Just can't picture some of DMB's staples without a violin solo like Ants Marching and Tripping Billies; or other songs that have key violin parts like Rapunzel, Crush and Two Step.

This band is straying further away from what we know them as and it sucks.

Maybe Boyd heard the new album, didn’t hear any violin and decided he was out.

Guy has clearly not been the same for several years, but it’s still sad, a big blow, and his absence will definitely be noticed on several of the bands best songs.

Not so surprising. There seemed to be bad blood between Dave and Boyd for awhile. Watching them at the gorge last year, up close, there seemed to be some conflict between them. No eye contact or smiles or nods... it was like Boyd was off to the side by himself. At least that's what I remember. I've actually been surprised that there hasn't been more discussion about it. Anyway hope I'm wrong... but I also hope Boyd is ok. This is very sad.
