Re: ** Official Nashville 2019 **
Booked my AirBnB for this trip back in mid-Feburary. Got a killer rate on a great place, $59/night, $193 total for the weekend after all the fees. On Friday, I got an email that my host had cancelled the reservation. No explanation. Emailed the host to ask why, got no reply.
Of course, prices in the area have skyrocketed since I originally booked. I wrote AirBnB support to explain my frustration and that out of 3 trips I've booked on AirBnB, two were cancelled like this. I asked that they credit me the difference between the original cost of my booking and a new one in the same area, not expecting in a million years that they actually would. To my surprise, they wrote me back and said they'd issue me a coupon for the difference and provided a link to another property. That particular one got booked in the interim, so I wrote back with 3 different options in the area, the only 3 that were under $200 per night. By the time they got back to me, just one of the 3 was left, they told me to go ahead and book it and gave me a coupon code. The cost of my original reservation was $193, and the new one was $560, so I was expecting a coupon for the difference, but they gave me a coupon code for the entire amount of $560! So I got the entire weekend stay for free.
Was totally shocked, and they went WAY above and beyond. I was dreading what this weekend was going to cost me after that cancellation.
