It depends who you hang around with. People who I like to spend time with like criticizing things (from government to music to food), for me it's a fun way to live, thinking "what could be better / how could X be better". And that's why for the most part I enjoy it here, although there are a couple of exceptions. But if that's negativity to you, then discussion forums aren't for you because these boards are full of debate and at least for me, largely interesting criticism of other people's arguments. If you don't like debate or challenging things critically (which I get) then yeah I'd probably stay on the Facebook groups. Although this is a good place for news too.

Not a bad idea. Sometimes it annoys me to the point where I start thinking of gripes during shows, which is not where I wanna be - but I then come off the boards for a couple of months which fixes it. I just love debate so much

I now leave the forums for like two months or whatever before my shows, I don't want spoilers or anything, but it also helps me not to be critical while I'm actually at the gigs and be more present in the moment

Yeah like somebody who commented about the pit earlier, I've also had bad experiences at my shows, just utter prats who shove people (at my last show in Dublin there was a genuine fight on the rail over a setlist), scream at Dave, argue with their neighbours about rail positions and piss everyone off by queue-jumping... These boards are tame compared to some of the idiots out there. Maybe you've been seriously lucky, but at probably half my shows there's been at least one major douchebag.

Plus, it's probably not the best idea (even just in terms of effectiveness!) to come in as a new member and tell a community how to act.

I'm told it will start in Mexico and will be announced in about 3-4 weeks.

Unclear on the format, locations, etc.

Different source this time, My instinct ranks their credibility around an 8.5/10.

    Also....see attached picture. Neat.
Well, today has been three weeks... give it another week, eh?

Phish has played Riviera Maya the past 2 years and has the same management. They play 3 nights, announce it about 6 months in advance, and sell every package. Would not be surprised to see DMB do this as a "first shows back in a year" and promote it as "first shows back in a year thing". they would sell all of them out in about a week..

Then they could announce the new album and spring tour ASAP

    1. It would not sell out in a week.

    2. There will be no spring tour or album.

Yeah, it's obviously just wishful thinking on my part. I liked when they did the spring tour / early summer release for big whiskey

Loved 2009 (even SPAC was amazing during a new album year). The spring run with the opening at MSG was great.

Shit is expensive. $2000+ per person. I know those who went last year said it was worth it but dam. I will still consider it I guess.

Are the prices the same as last year?
