I had a similar thought about the MCU not having a lot of popular music in their films, then I realized:
MCU actually has a lot of songs in their movies.
No Way Home had Talking Heads and De La Soul
Eternals had Pink Floyd, Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, and Foreigner
Shang Chi had a whole soundtrack with Anderson .Paak, Jhene Aiko, 21 Savage, Swae Lee
Black Widow had Don McLean & Sia
Far From Home has Whitney Houston
Endgame had Redbone, Traffic, Steppenwolf, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks
Captain Marvel had Salt-n-Pepa, Heart, No Doubt, Nirvana, Garbage, TLC, REM
Ant Man & Wasp had the Partridge Family, Dusty Springfield, Morrissey
