The event is at 1:30, doors open at 10:30 a.m. The line will start at 6 a.m. if t's anything like the Obama night.

This just begs the question: Do Democrats work? I'll be in my classroom that day, wishing I was there... but there's no need to call in sick for a 30 minute set.

Most political events allow you to RSVP and get a ticket, but it's a free thing so the ticket is just something for you to get in. Most stop taking RSVPs when they fill up, some don't. I've also been to some political events without a ticket and was able to get in just fine.

Yes. So you have a ticket but you have to be in line early because they always hand out more tickets than space. No politician wants to speak to a room that's not full and this helps guarantee the room size will be big enough. You'll be able to rsvp up until Friday more than likely.

No, I'm not offended. Your comment is ignorant. White privilege doesn't mean that you can take work off. White privilege means that as a white person, you have a better chance of the following:

1) receiving a quality eduction in schools that aren't falling apart and with books that were written this century
2) never going to prison
3) getting a high paying job
4) getting paid at the same or higher level for the same work
5) not being profiled by police
6) not being shot by police when unarmed
7) not being pulled over by a cop for bogus reasons
8) not having to endure bigots that will do what they can to make your life more difficult

I'm assuming by this point in my post you've either checked out or gone to find articles that state that "omg, what about poor white people." Well, if a poor white person where to work just as hard as a poor black person in the same situation, you know full well who has the better chance to succeed. Dave Matthews knows this. And he has made attempts to improve areas of Charlottesville that has improved the life for minorities in that community as seen in the neighborhood series. Get off your high horse.
