Love this guy. Really wish the Red Sox had hung onto him way back when.

All kidding aside, was it really that big of a deal? I mean, how many times do third base coaches leave their designated area?! All the freakin' time.

Ump was just being a dick... Carrabis blog was a little more robust:

    http://www.barstoolsports.com/baseba...09079839007983

Contains the post game interview with Beltre... he was saying in that same game other guys were in even worse positions than he was.

Oh, and it was 18-6 for christ sake!

Gio Gonzalez one inning away from a no hitter in Miami. Top of the order up in the 9th.

I don't know how it's been for any other team, but this is like the 5th or 6th almost or complete no hitter involving the Marlins this year. Scherzer almost got them last month, Gonzalez tonight, Volquez finished one, and there have been a couple others for the Marlins enter the 8th inning. Wild stuff.

Edit: Gio doesn't want to see Marcell Ozuna come up in the 9th (he'd be 4th).

Edinson Volquez needs Tommy John surgery. At least the Marlins got a no hitter out of him! I truly think there's some type of curse on their starting rotation.

As did Max Scherzer, immediately before leaving the game and letting the bullpen blow a 6 run lead.

Dodgers would be screwed if they had to face the Braves in the playoffs. Snapped both of their 9 game winning streaks this year.

went to the rockies - mets game today. really good game, close the entire time and some nice defensive plays. teams went back and forth trading runs for like 3 innings straight and it ended with the rockies winning on a walk-off walk.

Fucking Robles had no feeling in his pitching hand, and decided it would a good idea to not mention it.

Also, Arenado definitely swung at that wild pitch.

haha Caleb Joseph gets drilled in the hand by a pitch way up-and-in; and the ump calls a swinging strikeout after Caleb tries to turb out of the way of the ball

RIP Ken Kaiser - Rochester native and one time professional wrestler.

Him and his family lived in the same town I grew up in, my wife and his daughter went to school together.

    Interesting guy.
