edit: I should probably check out The Color of Money. Maybe I'll cross that one off.
Color of money is one of my favor this list. Successor to The Hustler with Paul Newman again as Fast Eddie Felson

And if by 80s stuff you mean Risky Business.....well, that could be my #1 overall here.

I'm in on this. Actually shocked that I had seen everything '86 onward, with exception of Lions for Lambs and The Mummy. Cruise is such a good actor and he really picks good films.

Reminder, list only needs to be 15

I just counted myself, and I've seen 34. Even without seeing any Mission Impossible films, can't believe anyone who likes movies has seen less than 15 of those.

I decided that I am going to try my absolute best to go through all of them. It should be fun and a welcome distraction. Going to try and knock out both Endless Love and TAPS tonight, neither of which I have yet seen.

Actually watched War of the Worlds for the first time last night, which apparently puts me at 22. Might take a stab at this.

To clarify, we are ranking the *best film* not our favorite films? I.E. Top Gun might be my favorite Tom Cruise movie, but I can also objectively recognize that it isn't his best movie...

    From LeeNumbers originial post:

"....is to rank all of Tom Cruise's movies in order, so we can truly see what the people's favorites are."

I was going subjective as opposed to objective, but perhaps I am wrong with that assumption.

It's like the MVP, everyone has to make that decision for themselves. I am sure Top Gun will be in a lot of people's top 5. Top Gun is actually an Oscar winning film.

I actually just watched A Few Good Men for the first time and I'd have to put that towards the top.

Just finished watching Endless Love. Honestly, not sure that this movie should be counted either. Tom is literally in only one scene, and it’s maybe 30 seconds. It’s even shorter than his Goldmember appearance.

when you look at these on letterboxd, it's evident how many of the posters for his films are some variation of just his face. some of them (like jerry maguire) without any real context! just "tom cruise is in this movie." and that's enough

Lmao only seen 3: War of the Worlds, Tropic Thunder and MI - Fallout.

I have a huge list of classic movies I've never seen though. For instance, War of the Worlds is the only Spielberg movie I've ever seen
