a couple other songs that deserve some love are The Pull of You and Hey Rosey - really enjoyed both of those.
Yea I think I would've preferred some sort of guitar break or something instead of that. Feels a bit out of place

Haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere on the interwebz, but comparing pictures I’m near positive that Eve Owen, lead vocals on Where is Her Head and backing on Quiet Light, is Clive Owen’s daughter. I think she’s 19-20 or something. Quite a debut. The legend of Clive grows.

What an interesting album. I think the film is just as important in the overall project. I’m still digesting it but I think I really like it. There’s a lot of really beautiful music here

During the yelling part, Matt sounds a bit like the lead singer from Magical Cloudz on The Pull of You. It might be my favorite.

Loved the album after first listen on Friday and has only grown on me after two more listens. Light Years has to be my favorite National album closer and is probably a Top 5 National song overall for me.

Another superb outing from these guys. It’s going to take something really special for another record from 2019 to claim AOTY from this.

I know it's still fresh and new, but this might be my favorite of their albums. Everything is so layered and beautiful and just solid top to bottom. Not a single song I dislike.

Also Bryan wins MVP of the album. Feels like every track but Not in Kansas has astounding drumming throughout.

I love this album! I love how the female vocalist sings lead on "So Far, So Long." Definitely will be in the top5 for me for the year, but most likely #1 unless something else really good comes out.

Still a middle of the pack album for me, with a few stand-out tracks. But still, a middle of the pack National album is like a top tier album for most other bands.

Im embarrassed to ask, I should know this. But is it Aaron or Bryce on stage left (right side of stage from audience perspective) that alternates between guitar and piano? I know Aaron does most of the writing for The National and Bryce is a composer, which doesn't help me differentiate

I have no idea. I just collectively refer to them as the twins.

Easily one of my favorites off of this record. Great tune. Love Matt's super low voice during the "ticker tape" part.

Album hasn't really grown on me as much as I was hoping. Would probably firmly put it as my least favorite of their records from Alligator to now. Having said that I still think it's good and am looking forward to seeing them in a couple weeks. I just have a very high bar for them and this is the first one for me that hasn't quite reached that next level of great.

I believe I figured it out. If you're in the crowd looking at the stage, Aaron is on the right and Bryce on the left. I think....
