Yea. I totally agree. Absolutely loved it. Always have been a space/nasa/aviation geek as well as a photographer (also have our house mostly mid century modern) so I love that era and the historical photography alone was cool to see. The “slice of life” shots... all the people watching the launch in suits and waiting quietly, chatting.. not heads in phones etc. seeing the cars, fashion.. then all the mission control stuff like mechanical based workstations using punchcard & mechanical systems... it’s crazy to think of what was accomplished using the technology of the era. About 3 min into it, I paused and I was asking my wife why I had never seen some of those shots (the 70mm stuff) in all the years I’ve been watching and into nasa docs etc. I read up & apparently the producers worked with the air & space archive & found the large format film which seems like an odd thing to misplace. Either way, it was presented in such an engrossing way. Watching it was like the first time I saw The Art of Flight (the snowboard one a few years ago), just on the edge of my seat & totally geeking out over the photography alone. It will be the first thing I purchase on UHD when we upgrade to a 4K HDR set soon.
