there was a headline after he said this on an announcing website I browse that said that Smith is being stretched so thin by ESPN its hampering his abilities. He does so much that he's making too many mistakes.

It may be that he wants to do all that but if he wants to cut down on the mistakes he needs to do less.

Well currently he does First take and his national radio show. So those are two big things. And then all the sports center hits plus he does boxing live stuff. I think he’s got a full plate.

Eh, that doesn't worry me. Inexperienced QBs aren't that intimidating. Outside of Lawrence that is This season is all on Day, how he coaches, executes etc. There really hasn't been a huge talent gap between the teams, all comes down to game plan and who makes the clutchplays.

A little Jalen Hurts talk from an OU recruiting site:

“Never seen a guy take over a team so instantly”, is a quote I have in my notes.

Source talked about Hurts in the context of some of the recent quarterbacks OU has had and he type of leaders they were.

”You look at how the players are reacting to him already and it’s like they’re listening to an elder giving them wisdom; like a coach they like and not just another teammate”

Source went on, “he’s the best leader I’ve seen”. That caught me off guard considering OU had Baker Mayfield just a couple years ago.

“He’s a different leader than Baker. Hurts isn’t a ‘ra ra’ guy. He’s probably more like Trevor Knight but even Trevor wasn’t like this”.

I’m told that in team meetings or whatever it may be, the players naturally sit around Jalen. I’m told, he “speaks with precision. It’s powerful” (This was in reference to some of the things he said in regards to the blackface incident).

Source said that Jalen is not at Oklahoma to just make it back to the playoffs. He is at OU to win and he has articulated that very clearly to the team. Source said that Jalen told the team, “We have everything we need. I didn’t come here just to get there. There needs to be a standard. We aren’t talking about this (on social media). It’s a standard that needs to be met”.

In a way, it feels like Jalen brought a little bit of Nick Saban with him and I’m sure he brought a lot of his own upbringing and guidance that he received from his father who is a high school coach.

Interesting, Bama now has home and homes scheduled with Texas, WVU and Notre Dame over the next 10 years. Glad to see them not solely taking the neutral site approach to big time OOC opponents, those will all be fun.

Also, saw Georgia/Auburn is getting moved up to September/October starting in 2020. That seems like very good news for Auburn.
