It's going to be a rough year for Lonzo with opposing players being more aggressive towards him because of his dad (even though they probably all probably secretly like what his dad is doing). And I agree he is going to have to learn how to defend without elite athleticism. Next year when Lebron and Paul George come aboard, it will be easier to hide this weakness, but this year, it's going to be a challenge.

Is Ntilikina hurt or something? Why is he only playing 8 minutes?

I read something to the effect of Lonzo having a postgame huddle with his dad to discuss what he did well and needed to do better.

Like dude, leave your kid be. Stop trying to gain fame through him. Your antics are old.

Not surprising - its why it would have been better for Lonzo if he was somewhere like Minnesota.

He missed all but the first preseason game and every practice up until a few days ago with a knee injury. He was going to be eased into the rotation even if he was 100% healthy, so I have a feeling that process is going to be delayed even more now

Ah, didn't know that. Assumed it was the case, though.

I really wish I could go to that game at the MECCA. It's going to be pretty cool.

It will take Celts like 10 games to figure it out, still fully expect them to win around 50

I think Ball will adjust well. Beverley was the best thing that could happen to him on opening night. He got hit on the mouth but he's too smart and too good to not adjust well

I’m pretty bummed. I knew a championship really wasn’t in the cards this year but this team was supposed to be a lot of fun. Probably have no chance tonight. Going to 0-3 and you know Kyrie is gonna go down for a few at some point. Still think they get in playoffs as a 4-6 seed. Thankfully the young guys, Stevens and Kyrie developing in brads system will keep me going.

2 games in and I’m essentially already just hoping they can be healthy for next seasons tip off

Iconic at making his teammates go to GD concerts

This isn’t surprising. IT has fought an uphill battle his whole life. Just look at their draft positions. I would never expect Kyrie to play with the same chip on his shoulder. He’s the better player though so you gotta figure it will balance out. Especially with Stevens coaching.
