Thanks for all the info. I'm really, really hoping to get confirmed through warehouse. Last time I tried a public sale for D&T was NOLA 2014. That was a nightmare.

I've seen the band since 2002 and this will be my first D+T show. I cannot freaking wait. I'm more excited for this than SPAC.

Really torn on whether to request seats or the $49.50 section. If it’s truly GA, then I don’t see the issue with getting there semi early and centering ourselves up top

D&T shows are better than DMB these days. I so wish I could get up there for this show.

When I was in high school in 2003, I had tickets to the Boone show, but I failed a class and my folks sold them

That hurt. Been looking to make it up ever since.

It's just tough to argue against getting 2 GA tickets for less than 1 lower or whatever in a place that small. unless the lower became like first 10 rows haha

Oh yeah, for sure. That's a crazy amount of money to pay to end up at the back of the 200s....when you can get the front row of the GA bleacher (what, maybe 10 feet away) for basically 1/3rd of the cost. Those 200s should probably be $85

That's how I feel. It would be nice to have a reserved seat...but I'll take my chances on a ticket that's only 37% of the price and get there for Warehouse early entry to sit in a good spt

I actually thought this place was the minor league baseball stadium in Charleston. I think DMB has played that before. I see where it actually is now.

We're probably heading down the SC for this...putting in WH requests. Actually thinking of going for bleachers, but we want to be able to enjoy Charleston and not rush to the venue.

What's the history of confirmations for D&T shows vs. DMB? Is it harder or the same...or...umm...yeah...

Yes, announcements went out on Wednesday at 10am...depending upon how your email is set up, it might be in a different place. We've got that gmail split and it's in the Promotions tab.

I would assume fairly difficult? But that's just from my experience with the public onsale for D&T NOLA a few years back. Ticketmaster dropped the tickets 45 minutes early. It was supposed to be an 11:00 Eastern opening, they were sold out by 10:18 am when I got in there. Just a nightmare. I'm hoping the Warehouse comes through clutch here.

edit: granted NOLA was a much smaller venue and that show was announced well in advance (whereas this one's got a month and half of lead time)

We're really hoping to score tickets to this. We did a spring break vacation on Folly Beach, SC last year and then did a day and night in Charleston...great time. We'd love to go back to the beach and get to see D&T again. Might end up settling for bleachers if we have to, but maybe WH will come through. Good luck to everyone.

Keep in mind that although the venue says capacity is 10,000 that is the capacity for tennis matches. Concerts are much less because nearly half the stadium is blocked off. The floor is pretty small as well. Prob not worth it for them to charge any less than what they are for the non bleacher seats. It’s being hyped up a lot in the local media as well, so I caved and joined warehouse. Like I said before, Kenny Chesney, jimmy buffett, and hootie sold this place out in mins and were going for like 3x face value on stubhub within the hour.

Yep, 4th of July 2008. Was a great time. There’s actually a soccer stadium down the street to where this show is that Zac Brown used to do the southern ground festival at, that would be a higher capacity than Volvo, but oh well

I guess Charleston has more venues than people realize. I know they have that arena too. They need a decent amphitheater.

I just cant get over the fact that a pair of tickets is $190 more expensive for one tier (3 separate levels) over the Bleachers. That is just crazy to me, and makes me so hesitant to put in a Best Available request

I put in for 2 best available. I would have loved a middle tier pricing. I wouldn't mind the bleachers too much however I was afraid if I didn't get those I would get nothing so I had to give myself the best chance.

There’s not many options for hotels except for a Hampton inn that you can walk to from the venue, so that’s your best bet. Otherwise, look in Mt Pleasant. It’s only a couple of miles from the venue and a quick 5 minute Uber. There are plenty of hotel options there. You could stay downtown but expect to spend 2-3 hundred a night for anywhere decent.

Tickets are very difficult to get and have been an ongoing problem whenever anyone really big plays there. Jimmy Buffet and Kenny Chesney both sold out in minutes, for example. Hootie and blowfish play 2 shows every year and they sell out in minutes every year. Resale tickets are outrageous as a result. I think you’ll be fine for D&T but don’t wait until 10:30 to buy tickets , just to be safe.

There are 3 parts to the stadium, GA floor, reserved tickets (aka lowers), and GA Upper. The stadium was built for tennis tournaments so the floor isn’t as big as an arena or anything but it’s decent size. If you have the cheap GA uppers, you sit wherever you want in the upper deck no matter what your ticket says. It’ll say GA1,GA2, etc. I’ve done each level and really they’re all great since the venue is so small. I love going to shows there

Worst thing about Volvo is they normally do not allow tailgating. There are a few bars within walking distance however.
Do you know if they allow taping?

While I agree that the price differential is crazy, folks need to remember that this is a benefit show. That doesn't mean you have to support the school or be okay with the ticket prices, but there's a reason why they're charging so much. We paid "extra" for our first full D&T being the benefit for the Goodall Foundation in DC at DAR Constitution Hall...it was totally worth it.
