Less than 10 minutes from the airport to UMB. Its an affordable cab ride.

BTW, I got charged for tickets and parking the other day for UMB.

any guesses on the opening song? too much is a heavy favorite in my opinion, but i would much rather see a repeat of bowa or maybe a ddtw

i really hope pig opens. after 21 shows i still haven't heard it and it'd make my summer '06 hella better. if not pig, i wanna say don't drink the water. bowa opened last year so it probably won't be the opener. and i hope that too much doesn't open.

I hated DDTW as an opener for a while, but until just this past winter when they opened it in Omaha the way they opened it at Folsom it was amazing, if they open it that way every night i'd be happy with it. But if I were to make a call PNP Intro-->PNP-->Rapunzel, been a while since I heard that one.

Are we trying to avoid discussing the possibility that we'll get some "STUBED" so that we don't jinx it?

You know - because the rumors are that they're in the "OIDUTS."

Talk amongst yourselves. (this post is like butter)

BTW, if we're talking fantasy opener as opposed to what's likely, I'd like Sugar Will. Being slightly more realistic, Seek Up.

just got back from spring break not too long ago and am finally getting caught up on here. i gave my mom her birthday present of the tickets (not actual tickets cause we don't have them yet) over the break and she cried haha. it was awesome, she's extremely excited! i made a video like promoting/inviting her to the concert with a bunch of clips from different shows and stuff. it was fun. not long my friends, not long!

I hate everyday as an opener, i love it when it is place around ants marching. Alpine 04, Omaha 05. Personally i prefer an opener where everyone plays. Everyday doesn't really have a Leroi part. Boo. How bout a folsom intro with DDTW, and JTR early

i'll send the fonz a myspace message about playing JTR. he didn't respond to my message about bringing back the '04 songs this summer, but he sure as hell read it.

    i'm torn.

i live 10 minutes from umb, but i've been i think one show opener is enough! spread it around so more fans can have the experience, and so we in stl can get a mid-season show again!

wife and i are trying to go to randall's island this year...staying with friends and flying for free...now if we get reserved seats, we'll be in business!

i completely agree with ya. it's the 3rd year straight. that's a record isn't it?

let's just hope this year blows the past 2 years out of the water. i have a feeling it will.

well, if end-of-the-previous-season momentum exists, we'll be in good shape! i'm going through ticketmaster for the first time this year...warehouse was never nice to me.

I gotta disagree with the whole 1st show isn't the best out there. Last year I saw the first show and thought it was an excellent show. Dave was in full voice and the crowd, for once, was into it. The next shows I saw was Red Rocks and yes those were better shows all around but Dave didn't sound as good. Did more yelling when he woulda sang alittle more, like in the Lou. Saw him again in Madison, WI for the Winter tour and I thought they were horrible. Then again it was my next show after Red Rocks. I fully expect to hear acouple new songs and some rare stuff like JTR. Can't wait for this show and I get to go to the Gorge for all 3 shows this year too. I'm a lucky man!

I see your point, and I agree. I was at Minneapolis this year, and what I found was bad about the show is the technical difficulties they had with the show. In some areas, the band seemed rusty, but throughout the show it seemed like they were having problems with Leroi's mic, you barely heard him the entire show . I also know this could be a problems with the venue. I don't think openers are bad shows in terms of the band playing, but more of the band and the crew working kinks out. I'm still going though.

Does anyone know where some good motels are that are close to the venue in maryland heights. I am from minnesota and traveling down there and it would be nice to know ahead of time.
