There's only around 100IU of D in a glass of milk, highly ineffective. The RDA's of D are just enough to keep you out of the path of rickets.

Effective amount of D3 (4,000~8,000IU/day) will reduce the risks of several cancers and MS by half according to several studies including most recently researchers at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha - http://health.ucsd.edu/news/2011/02-...ancer-risk.htm

I use organic rice milk for my cereal, not really sure how natural it is to drink another species' milk, as delicious as it may be.

In all seriousness, I have never understood this theory. I've never drank 2% really, but when I used to drink 1% before switching, I never noticed a difference in taste.

To add to the buzzz kill ....
I stopped drinking milk when someone claimed they found blood in their glass of it.
I mean, seriously, think about what you're drinking. Yuck.

I'm really just a poser in the land of those who boycott animal milk, though, b/c I will use it for cereal & baking. But, I can't drink a glass.

Yes, their own species milk. That's more/less the argument. Cow milk is good for baby cows. Humans shouldn't have it.

But F it, milk is tasty.
