The band actually had some copies on their site earlier this week when LT6 & 7 dropped. It was bundled with LT38 (SPAC '96)

I don't think they've reissued Crash on 150g as they have for R2T, UTTAD, and (I think) Big Whiskey. So it definitely is getting harder to find a copy of this album on vinyl. The splatters go for ~$100-$150, because they're ugly (if those actually looked halfway decent that thing would sell for $250 easy). I imagine without a reissue, the black copies will get pricey - maybe more pricey in the long run than the splatter.

Has anyone who ordered LT6-7 via the WH received a shipping notice yet? I haven’t seen anything come through & I thought these were supposed to be a 12/14 release...

I received a tracking number and should get it Friday. Have you checked the order status on the site?

I just checked... all items say “in progress” but no further info. No estimated ship info etc.

I emailed WH to see what’s going on.

I have the 150g remastered from original analog tracks that I bought from the merch booth at a 2019 show. It says 2014 on the single jacket so I assume it’s the 2018 repress? Anyhow, does anyone with the same release have an awful hiss sound on the S’s in the vox? I’ve recalibrated my tonearm and it’s a brand new stylus, all my other records sound fine. I just didn’t see any of the same issues on discogs/Amazon reviews of the album and wondering if anyone else got a bad press.

Anybody have a copy of Dave& Tim’s Prism House show they don’t mind parting with? I don’t remember it coming out so I have no idea what the original cost is but the asking price on Discogs (lowest is $120) seems steep so just reaching out on here...

Does anyone know the reason why the Before These Crowded Streets vinyl is so rare and not being printed anywhere? Some guy on discogs is selling it for $700.
I'm surprised the band isn't selling it through their website like Crash and UTTAD.

It is expensive because there was only one batch of pressings back in 1998. Why the band's management hasn't chosen to have it repressed over the last 10 years as vinyl has had a resurgence, we have no clue. But the band has reissued Remember Two Things, UTTAD, and Crash on remastered vinyl for their 25th anniversaries. Something appears to have gone wrong, supply chain?, with BTCS. We all have been discussing that last point for several years now. We can only sit and wait now

There were 1,000 copies made... at one point, I owned 4 of them. All 4 were sealed, and one of them did NOT have a notch cutout. I gave one away to someone here on the site, I gave one to a charity auction, and sold the other 2. I sold my entire record collection before I moved to my new home a few years ago. It was one of the worst things I've done.

For what it's worth, I sold the un-notched for over $1k and I got almost $800 for the sealed one more than 5 years ago

I've started collecting (and listening) again, and so have my kids. Imagine how badly I want BTCS now... feels like karma, lol. I don't think I'm going to pull a trigger on it for $500 as I'm having a hard time considering paying $500 for another band's 180g LP that only has 250 in production and will likely never be made again. I have faith we'll see BTCS eventually.

Did you get those four when it was first printed or over time? They’ve been pretty pricey for long time now.

It’s a nice release, I think I prefer World Cafe over it though. There’s also this one, which is a gem of 90’s music: https://www.discogs.com/Various-The-...elease/3457596

Features a studio cut of Ants

Any idea if we're going to get another Live Trax pressed on vinyl? I was hoping they might announce something this summer, but maybe they're waiting for the new album to do a bundle a la DMBLive series and Come Tomorrow?

All I know is that if they go in sequential order from the last two branches of Live Trax releases (from Live Trax 7 or Live Trax 35), then it means Alpine would get a vinyl release either way. So that's what I'm hoping for.

I wonder if vinyl shortages are causing delays. Past four years all had new vinyl in the summer, but so far nothing this year.

    2017 - Live25
    2018 - Come Tomorrow + DMBLive x2
    2019 - Rhino’s Choice
    2020 - LT35

LT 6 and 7 were released in December 2020 though.

I have to imagine the new album potential is a factor - trying to time it either to not canabalize sales or to bundle it to boost sales.

Shortages cause longer lead times, and are definitely a factor, but I don’t think they’re prohibitive.
