man....you know i think you actually deep down love this cd and you HATE the fact that you like it. thats the only thing that explains how much you complain about this album. otherwise you just have problems....

As for Stand Up. Sure it doesn't compare but I still think it is fantastic. I have found myself in a place where it is hard to hate anything DMB related, except for maybe Spotlight

So what does that make the Big Three? Amazing? Legendary? I always wondered if there was a system for these adjectives cause Fantastic is a pretty wieghty term to begin with. Stand Up sucks.

Stand up shows some evolving tastes. Much like other bands, DMBs early years spawned a lot of really good stuff. However, playing these songs over and over probably gets a little stale. Thus, the band's writing matures/evolves. I haven't learned to appreciate it entirely, but the more I listen to it, the more I'm warming up to it. It just takes time.

There's no evolving, and there's no experimentating. What Stand Up did, has been done thousands of times before by other artists. It sucks and it's absolutely not matured. It's devolved, a lot.

No not at all.

And I still think musically, it's the best piece on Stand Up. If the lyrics weren't pathetic, I'd actually *like* it. If I have to hear a SU song at a show, it'd be Dreamgirl / American Baby first.
