</div>I’m looking at April 7th. 6 weeks before album release and gives MME 10 weeks. Think WATM drops and it starts some more frequent and in depth promotion leading up to the tour/album release.

I was looking forward to that one as well. OF COURSE that's one that died right away. Running Down a Dream didn't last more than a tour either. Didn't happen to catch that at any of my 3 shows in 2013.

Slip Slidin Away and Sugar Man are my favorite covers that I’ve seen them play live. SSA is probably in my top 10 favorite songs of all time (the original).

Not a huge fan of the covers but some Gerry Raftery "Right Down the Line" would be a cool cover for them to do.

FITR is fun and one my favorite Zeppelin tunes so it’s fine. Opening a show is meh and when it’s also accompanied by another cover like Sledgehammer is when I get annoyed. Speaking of Sledgehammer that song needs to go far away. I know they enjoy playing it but it’s such an unnecessary strain on Dave’s voice for a song that isn’t there’s. I don’t get it, but it needs to be retired/replaced.

Lastly, my favorite cover they’ve ever done is easily Hey Hey, My My. LT 13 version is the cat’s meow

Agreed on Sledgehammer- was great when they started it for the first time at Nissan pavilion- Lerois last show. (I was there and when they started that song it was awesome)

Maybe that cover has a spot in their hearts because of that.

That was filmed April 6, 2022, just before the Summer 2022 tour and it never showed up. Sadly, it is unlikely it will appear in 2023.

MME was released on a Tuesday with a Friday tease. Maybe they will do something similar for the next single.

This is my first album release since becoming the huge fan I am now, so I don’t really know how the hype for these albums are supposed to go. I was listening to O&TB and WATM on repeat about a week ago, but then had a reality check realizing the album isn’t for another 11 weeks or so. Just got bored of the songs and moved on, but I’m still hyped about the album, regardless of how far out we are.

Is this how all album releases go? I do feel like we should be getting a little more from them…

They’ve all been a bit different.
Usually we don’t get single, title, track list, album art and release date all at once, and so far in advance. By chunking those together, it’s created a huge gap with nothing.

AFTW for example went something like:
May - Gaucho released
July - Mercy released along with album info
September - album released

It was still a four month lead-up, which nobody seems to be acknowledging in this thread. I think the fact that a tour happened during this period distracted people.

It’s almost like the folks who said “wow, that’s a long lead time before the album, if they don’t promote much then people will lose interest” were right.

I’m not into most of the new stuff so it’s whatever to me, but gotta feel like pulling teeth for the more engaged current fans of this band to experience this…”roll out”.

Being told it's coming out in May and then being upset two months later that it's coming out in May hasn't been my experience, the roll out has been poor but can't do anything about it, plenty of other things to enjoy in the meantime
