Not a Mayer fan (he's a great player, I just don't connect w/ his music or it doesn't connect with me and his voice is meh at best), but I've been playing a PRS since 1990...still have the Custom 10 Top I got for HS graduation that year and a 1994 CE-22 w/ a maple top.

The Silver Sky is the high-end "Strat" I would buy if I were in the market, but if I were to buy another strat (to go along w/ my modded 91/92 Am Std w/ maple board in gun metal blue) it's extremely unlikely that it would anything more than half the price of a Silver Sky.

My Larrivee is hitting my ears perfectly. Bought it on line based on sounds of other guitars with some similarities and it has exceeded expectations. I spent the better part of the last few years dead set on getting a dreadnought back in my collection, but then in the last month before buying the Larrivee, I started thinking 000, but I like the snap of a longer/standard scale length, so and OM was the obvious consideration. And upon receiving it and since playing almost everyday, the size is just right. I'd still like to get a nice dread in the future, but it's not pressing.

DMB is one of my favorite bands...keeping this post slightly on topic...
Orion Green with a maple neck. It's amazing. Whatever your feelings on the man and his music, he knows his guitars inside and out, and they made something special and decently affordable. I love it so much.

One of the guys that knows guitars exponentially better than John is Paul Reed Smith...him working w/ any musician is going to get them one of the best instruments theyíve ever played.

I came up when a a decently affordable US made guitar was available at well under $1,000. While get inflation, Iíve not made the jump to todayís prices for US made bolt-on neck guitars. Iím also only interested in getting a couple of Teles these days, and getting one is years off...not to mention completely unnecessary/unjustifiable.

Also, you got the correct color combination. I actually think the man is relatively (and this applies all of the following) cool, smart, and funny, I just donít care for his music and singing voice. Itís always been rather obvious that heís good guitar player...and his work to be able to hang w/ Dead & Co showed he was willing and able to up his game.

I really like when vocalists go off script a bit, this is really short but I like what Dave was going for at 4:03

    https://youtu.be/g5fdS_cssLA

It's different than his usual vocal add ONS where he just sings as high as he can

The north eastern states in particular got hit harder at the outset and got stricter about protocols. Currently they are having far less issues with new infection rates. They also have far better vaccination rates than many of the southern states, which has and will continue to mitigate infection and/or spread.

As has been pointed out, however, there are tons folks from these regions traveling to the states that have increasing infection and hospitalization rates AND folks from these states will be traveling up north for shows. Sadly there are folks claiming to be fans, claiming they are going to shows, and bragging about not being vaccinated, not getting tested, and not wearing masks. What's the saddest part is we know this is already happening across the country at all sorts of big events.

So my random DMB thought is that everyone going to shows stays safe. We know the honor system in much of our country is BS, so we should try to do better for each other and everyone else out there.

Someone posted a few of these things on socials (fb, twitter, etc.)...so you take them for whatever they're worth.

Also, there was at least one person on these boards claiming they weren't getting vaxxed and wouldn't wear masks at shows... Again, you've got take it for what it's worth.

That said, there are clearly TENS OF MILLIONS of people in this country that are screaming about vaccinations, masks, and any other basic public health precautions being a violation of their rights. I would think a few of them are likely DMB fans...

I was mostly joking. We know that vaccinated can pass the virus along as well.

Just a play on the heat maps you see of less vaccinated areas.

Has anyone actually heard the only time they played Screaming Into the Grave?

    As per the almanac:

7/21/04 listed on the realtime setlist as "Fonzies New Idea"

    At 1 min : 40 seconds

Listened to that Fonz Idea. I guess it kind of sounds like ABC.

Seven from Friday’s WP show came on. I do not dislike Seven. In fact some may say I even like Seven. And I get that it’s the start of the tour. But how is it humanly possible that with the amount of plays that song has received Dave still can’t get the lyrics right or the timing of the lyrics right???

Screaming Into the Grave and AB Intro are in a weird little DMB class of small songs that with that sweet percussive crescendo.

Yeah. They blew it again by scrapping so much of this. Dave just absolutely makes the worst decisions about his own music.

ABC is amazing. I mean like good enough to close out a set.
