does anyone know why dave never plays the third verse of grey street live?

i also heard that there was a fourth verse that was cut from busted stuff... anyone know if this is true or what it is/was?

he stopped playing it in 03 and no one knows why. and yes there were more verses cut from the lillywhite sessions that never made it onto busted stuff..

From what I can remember, Dave had to cut that stuff out to stay within his allotted time on Conan's show. After he did that and played the truncated version, Dave seemed to like it, and it's stuck ever since.

this is an interesting question, there are lots of other mysteries about grey street. its such a great song, i wish they would bring back the lillywhite version.

The 3rd verse would be awesome, and I'd be a greedy little pig in wanting them to slow down the tempo just a bit. These days the band plays Grey Street (and other older tunes) like they've been taking Jessie Spano's "caffeine pills".
