So it would be the Arena . They played there in 2014. Someone on this thread said they knew someone who worked at Daily’s Place say they were coming there .

Didn’t even think about the possibility of the Nashville Sound stadium. That place is awesome! Basically a big party with a baseball game in the middle no ones really watching.

Historically, they don't play the best shows at Bethel lol. 2010 was good but all the other shows are basically festival type sets.

Seeing them with 100,000 other people celebrating the '69 festival would be an experience.

I’m not sure on the venue. I’ve heard both but neither was concrete enough though

Don’t see the appeal of a Woodstock event. There are dozens of music events across the country annually that were all inspired by Woodstock. And I’m sure the ones that have been doing it for years are better organized than a one off money grab.

99 was a money grab. This is actually celebrating 50 years.

Also - they're capping it at 100,000 passes. They easily could sell double that. They'd do a Woodstock every year if it was just a money grab.

Daily's Place is way too small for DMB. It was overflowing for D&T, which was already a tiny venue for that show. Arena is next door and a much better venue for DMB.

If they played Tuscaloosa they can hypothetically play Ascend, since it's only 1k less than Tuscaloosa but that's probably the limit... Ascend is going to be too small for DMB too. Again, the arena is a block away and a better bet.

Vandy stadium show in 2009 was incredible.

I’ll take Bridgestone... it’ll actually be nicer then standing in 90+ degree Tennessee heat

Daily's place is around 1k smaller then Ascend but Daily's has no lawn . The furthest seat from the stage at Daily's is still very close and they can price every seat the highest price ($115) since even the back is still like being in the last row of lower seats in most amphitheaters. For Dave and Tim every seat was the same price . That being said I agree the Venue seems small for full band . Arena would be better.

Hmmm Tampa is almost always a Wednesday. Would 7/24 be possible for that show. WPB makes perfect sense though.

    You're right!

    7/22 or 7/23 - Jacksonville
    7/24 - Tampa
    7/26 - West Palm

I wonder if it’ll be Jax Tampa back to back or if Jax will end up being on a Monday. I just requested the entire week off. Gonna plan to hit all 4.

That's not what I'm saying - If DMB plays one of the Woodstock festivals this year I think it'll be a short 45minute set to make room for other bands. I'd rather see them skip that and play a normal show somewhere even a regular show at Bethel where it's just DMB is something I'd rather attend then going to to see DMB at a festival where a short set is performed.

My opinion on this is that DMB is not going to play a festival where they need to “make room” for other bands. They are still headline material. Even if they played Woodstock with dozens of other huge acts, they’d still either close out a day or be one of the finals acts. With that said, I’m not expecting much from these Woodstock festivals. Probably a lineup similar to Bonnaroo which really doesn’t impress me.

Will most likely do the entire Florida run. Have hotels for Tampa and wpb reserved. Will just stay with friends in Jax. Should be fun!

I'd say this was exactly the case at Ottawa Bluesfest last year, which I always assumed would be a mandatory requirement for them to play here.

I mean, they'd be end of night headline material regardless, but Bluesfest typically gives 1.5 hours (maybe 2 but that's rare) for the headliner.

There have been a few exceptions over the years and I was happy to see DMB was one. I think they had 2.5 hours stage time which was awesome - and exactly what they deserve (as opposed to the usual 1.5-2 hrs here).

That could also be in part due to the cost.
For example if DMB says we want 1 million to play and will play for 2.5 hrs while the fest says we will give you 500k and you have 1.5 hrs...
The band might say no you pay us 1 mil and we will play for 1.5 hrs if that's all you want but we will also play 2.5 for the cost. Then the fest might say ok take the extra time since sat that point it is "free"
