Its because of being home, I'm sure at the Away split you would have been around the same

I fully expect Nebraska to be much better than last year but I'd still take tOSU -7.5 today. Really want to see Nebraska good again.

Clemson and Oklahoma apparently are finalizing a series for 2035 / 2036. There are potential players in that game who are under 1 years of age right now.

These matchups are great but for some reason the ridiculous advanced scheduling of these games really pisses me off.

One of my daughter's (she'll be 4 in a few weeks) classmates might be playing LB for Oklahoma - he is aggressive, and his dad is pretty big.

That game is 16 years from now lol. That's the furthest out scheduled series I can remember.

Also, Lee that classmate will def be playing for Clemson with that aggressive attitude.

So dumb. Worst thing about CFB by far imo. "Well the schedules are set in advance" womp womp. They can get out of those if they want. It would be nice to scrape every OOC game from 2021+ and just start over.

I think the networks would be all for that.

Just found out today that our ticket request for the Florida-Miami opener in Orlando got approved. We weren’t expecting that at all, but we’ll take it! August 24 in central Florida might be a weeeeeeee bit hot for the tailgate, though.

Real talk, Bob Stoops was lame af compared to Lincoln Riley. Dude is running the program with some swag these days...catering to the recruits' generation. Social media/PR game is strong at OU right now.

    OU is doing it right.

I think Georgia added Florida State in 27 and 28. Pretty sure they play FSU and Texas in the same season one of those years.

Crazy that it's gonna be 12 years since OU and Nebraska played. That series is gonna be awesome. Really hope Neb is competitive by then.

ESPN put out its latest FPI projections for data nerds. Some highlights:

    - Clemson is projected to have an 83% chance of making the playoff, due to the combo of having the best team per FPI and playing only the 56th hardest schedule.
    - Clemson's hardest game based on preseason projections appears to be South Carolina; Bama also has to play South Carolina but that ranks as their fifth hardest game, so quite a schedule disparity there.
    - Next two most likely participants based on projections are Michigan and Georgia. Georgia seen as a better team but Michigan with an easier road. Ohio State may be underrated in the projections though because we don't know anything about Justin Fields yet.
    - PAC 12 unlikely to field a playoff team. Big 12's only hope this year is Oklahoma.

    Some new transfer rules: https://collegefootballtalk.nbcsport...other-changes/

    Quote:
The NCAA has dialed down into some specific scenarios this week and opened up the rules for several potential transfers, according to a release issued on Friday from the Division I Council.

Perhaps most notable is the passing of what some are dubbing the ‘Hugh Freeze Rule’ that allows any early enrollees for summer school to transfer without a waiver if their head coach departs before fall classes start. This dates, in part, back to two years ago when Ole Miss players who were in school had to apply for waivers to be immediately eligible following the Rebels head coach resigning in late July.

“It’s definitely a win in our books,” said Enna Selmanovic, the Student Athlete Advisory Committee vice chair. “(Allowing student-athletes in certain situations to transfer and play immediately) provides student-athletes with more opportunities to have the best experience possible within their collegiate career.”

Also on the books for this fall is what can only be termed the ‘Baker Mayfield Rule‘ as well. This approval from the NCAA allows walk-ons to transfer and play immediately for another school without a waiver, a sharp contrast to the saga the Heisman winner went through when he moved from Texas Tech to Oklahoma a few years ago.

Coaches and athletic directors will also be happy to hear that a proposal to dock schools a scholarship for two years for every grad transfer they bring in did not pass. Additional reforms from the NCAA on the subject of transfers is expected to be discussed over the coming months with further rules changes likely on the drawing board.

    Thanks for posting.

UM and UGA are in similar positions imo. I trust UGA more though. Until Michigan actually beats tOSU then I won't trust them.

As of now I would probably pick the Dawgs to win the SEC. Great OL and experienced QB sounds like the perfect combo. Florida and UT will be tougher games but not copletely sold on Florida yet. They'll be better. LSU is the same in my eyes. Beat Alabama and I'll be more convinced.
