Citi Card Question

I have never bothered with the Citi pre-sale but I just signed up for the American Airlines card because of some traveling we are going to do and because I am a point whore.

So, my questions is, does anyone know if the AA card counts since it is being issued by Citi or is it only specific Citi cards that get the pre-sale codes?


Mods - sorry if this was the wrong place to post? I honestly wasn't sure where to go. The credit card itself is non-dmb; the pre-sale is DMB related and tour related. Feel free to move me/shame me. It's cool.

I think the guidelines here apply:

While anyone can view the Private Pass website, you must use a Citi credit card which displays the Visa, Mastercard and American Express logo or a Citibank Debit Card which displays the Mastercard logo to purchase tickets or access complimentary offers. In most instances, the Citi credit card or Citibank Debit Card account number will be verified during the purchase transaction, redemption process, or at the event.

AFAIK all citi Cardmembers can partake in the presale, the password is the first 6 digits of the card # (I think), AND you have to pay with a Citi card.

If you want to test it for sure, just find a show that has a Citi Preferred sale going on, like this one, select Citi Prefered as the only ticket type, type in the offer code (first six digits) and see if it works.

It works, I use ours all the time... although success rate for many shows has been low

Yea, it's been pretty useless for DMB the last couple tours.

Too many bots/ scalpers with an easy password to crack. I've found you need to keep trying. I scored $115 uppers at WPB... and felt like I was raped... I just bought them cause of price, then saw after I bought where they were.

where it works well is at general onsale when they have Citi preferred seats... scored decent lowers for WPB .

For SPAC, just forget it. When they're selling 27 fucking J as $250 platinum seats, and lowers at $795 each on resale, you do not have a prayer

I thought you scored Dallas or Houston Pit off of Citi this tour?
