    I've heard that idea thrown around for many years dating back to Jordan, and would be so happy if that happened. With severe penalties for non-participation such as your above loss of all star status.

    A one on one tourney could bring back interest in the all star game if done right.

    The pool should be limited to all stars, not this anyone and everyone dunk / 3 pt / skills BS.
