Turer Field has fucking Waffle House. Nothing tops that.

Minute Maid Field did used to have a mini Maker's vending machine though I've read

It shouldn't, teams have been doing this for a long time. And its well within the rules that were bargained on.

Boras is trying pretty hard though.

What position can the players union take here? That teams don't get to decide when to call up/send down players?

Don't see the huge issue with Bryant having to wait two weeks to join the team.

when its an obvious loophole it becomes a problem

there's no right answer but the union will def be looking at ways to remedy this. There's already a major issue of HS/college players getting drafted and having to sign minimal contracts, compared to latin/oversees players getting to choose where they want to go, creating bidding wars, and signing $60mm contracts

But no matter when the date is, there would always be a "loophole".

I completely agree about that second part. Its friggin ridiculous.

remedy what, though? unless you want to change the service time protocol for the entire system, it comes down to a judgment call on the part of the team

there's going to be an international draft sooner rather than later, so that problem will be fixed. lots of owners and GMs clamoring for it

oh, i agree. There's not much you can do. Just seeing what people's thoughts are because I'm sure the union will try to get something changed.

and of course the owners want a draft, they dont want to actually have to pay the players lol

Mets schedule is insane btw, I don't get it. So excited for this season though. They look great.

Like I said, he's just been a non-factor for so long. It's not that anybody is really done with him, there's just zero reason to expect production out of him, or for him to even stay healthy for that matter.
