For the 2000 tour when they were playing snippets from the album outside venues... I remember this vividly. Always been curious if anyone had one of these promo CDs kicking around?

Point stands though it was Izod and a really good show. Had lot of fun with good fans around our seats. Most poeple seemed into especially if they understood what was happening. Overall it was very unique and something I don't see happening again.
However , that said I could just be a case of it being "my Jimi Thing being not as bad as those other ones that tour"

Would love this to be released. I enjoy AFTW.

dave seems to use jimi thing as a piss break many times. riverbend 13' was another one he disappeared during jimi.

i know one of you guys made note of it at one point.

I love ALL the Jimi bashing, despite agreeing its still a great song and acoustic would be a great change of pace if they're truly not going to shelf it for a while!

Just so y'all know, Dave didn't say he was retiring Jimi at Austin last year. He said something like: "I've been told I play this song so much that I should give it a rest. But I like this song and I think one week is long enough." No promise of shelving it for a while. Not sure which show he promised not to play it. As I Jimi lover, I remember really cheering when he said that. It's on the tapes.
