Won a gift card to this place. Will probably go back. Feel like I could hit a ball 20 yards further than yesterday.

    Norm Macdonald's last tweet.

    @normmacdonald
Morikawa shoots a 64 to get to -9. He was my pick for this week, but I laid off at last second due to injury concerns.

99 today. Humbling day. Felt like fall at 730 which was nice.

Been trying to just work on my swing and not care about my score, but I started keeping track on the back 9 after a bad front 9 and ended up shooting a 43. I think that’s the best 9 hole score I’ve ever had. Pretty cool. Hopefully I can continue that next time.

Shot a 77 yesterday. 36-41. Driver got better throughout the front 9 and then got worse throughout the back 9. First time I had swung a club since August 9th.

    Nice round Noles.

Shot an 87 yesterday. One over my average, so can't complain too much. Drives were great, short game let me down.

Went 43/37 on Saturday. Wrapped up my east coast playing with all low 80s! I left 2 putts out there yesterday on 16 and 17... just making one of those 4-foot par putts would have put me at 79.

    Thanks Spell!

Will probably look to book my second lesson for November once once I am back in San Diego. Excited to see how the instructor views my progression.

I would guess he's going to be happy. Wish I lived somewhere I could play 12 months a year. Season's going to be ending soon here. I have an outing on Friday and the high is going to be mid to upper 60's.

Pretty good. He shot one under in his match on Friday. He's been making subtle changes with his college coach so sometimes it gets away from him a bit. League Championships are in a few weeks so he is focused in on that.

    Anyone read mygolfspy?

Their 2021 best wedge article and the data on wet conditions and wedge control and spin definitely got me thinking about how much better my game is at 4PM on a hot summer day versus being the first guy out on a dew covered course. Might just be looking for any kind of solace for how bad my wedges were on Sunday.

Brother-in-law in Orlando loves to be the first group out, in the morning dew and wet greens. I'll play with him and then we'll play again in the afternoon; my 2nd round is always better

Part of the game of golf is adjusting to course and weather conditions, I don't know how surprising it is that the ball would react differently coming out of a wet lie than a dry one.

If anyone in here has been at SPAC, I shot my career low 81 on the Thursday before the shows on the course there that you pass while walking into the venue. Good way to start off the weekend.

Years ago they made a big deal about Bryson spraying balls with water prior to hitting them on the range at an event and he said he was measuring the difference in spin between wet and dry with his new irons.

Thanks, had a chance with a par on 18 to break 80 but oh well, I’m not complaining.

It’s usually in great shape and was this past weekend, a few tricky holes but it’s pretty open and can be pretty similar looking for a lot of the holes but I think visually it’s nice since it’s basically every hole lined with the nice trees that are in the park.

I would recommend if ever wanting to get a round in that weekend.

Me too. You opening the face, out to in, or both? Love how soft it lands.

I’m pretty sure I just had an 18 hole temper tantrum the other day. Was opening face without regripping and just blading everything into oblivion.

I'm not opening the face typically but will do so depending on the shot, I've been practicing (coached to do this) with two alignment sticks parallel on the ground, place the ball in the middle and swing from the outside stick to the inside stick. I'm surprised how straight it still goes but comes in so soft like you said.

That'd be a lot of fun, might add it to the trip one of these years!

84 at Idle Hour in Lexington. Still hit some fugly wedges.

Unreal track. Greens are a playground. Caddy definitely saved me from a 90.

Another 87 on Sunday. Can't seem to put two good nines together. Played great on the front and the wheels came off on the back. So frustrating.

I posted in here a while ago about starting to notice someone I play with not count his score accurately, today it was an 11 shot difference, he gave himself a 79 and shot a 90

I'm guessing it was in many ways, but how was he doing it? Mulligans, not counting penalty areas and lost balls or just outright lying about the number?
