Wolf Traps Avett Bros triple play was phenomenal. Paleface is fun, Crowell was awesome on N1, Thao & tGDSD were quite cool, and the Felice Bros has some really good stuff. Wolf Trap is my favorite concert venue. It's like a mini-SPAC with all of the headaches. We've got at least two more shows there this summer...BHTM & Toad and Ben Harper & Trombone Shorty.

    Cheers all

Death Cab tomorrow so I'm excited for that. Seeing Lauryn Hill next weekend as a post-Mets game concert if she decides to show up.

That's awesome. Saw they had some solid openers with Gary, Nathaniel Rateliff & The night sweats, The Revivalists etc.

In fairness what other band in the state of California were they going to find to open for them?

I've seen her a few times now. We're really forward to this show with the Seattle Symphony. She's doing 3 nights with them at Benaroya Hall. He scored 8th row orchestra in the presale for the Sat night show.

We are really starved for talented groups.

I guess the Stones just like to get local bands with small fan bases to open for them. They did that the last time I saw them. The group was ... Metal Licker? Metal Loco? Metallica? Something like that. Some no-name local band.

I'm sure having to postponed dates screwed up some of the support, hopefully for your sake the list of who was playing with them doesn't come out

Living Colour was great on Saturday. This is their 30th (actually closer to 31st) anniversary tour celebrating the release of Vivid. So, they played the whole album in order...first time I've ever seen a band do this. I love that album so much and it was a treat. Eager to see them again when they do a more varied set...or if they want to to Time's Up or Stain front to back, I'm up for that too.

    Re: Your 2019 Concerts

Checked the Birchmere calendar yesterday, very much want to see:

08/06 -- Chris Isaak (super spendy for the venue)
    09/26 -- Robert Cray Band
    10/20 -- Dar Williams

    Also interested in:

    08/05 -- Jon Anderson
    08/20 -- Tab Benoit
    09/30 -- Los Lonely Boys
    11/12 -- John Hiatt

    and at the Anthem:
    08/17 -- The Raconteurs
    09/11 -- Peter Frampton
09/14 -- Andrew Bird (was planned, but not sure now)
    09/16 -- Bloc Party
    09/18 -- Marina

So many shows and so little money and available free time.

Jason Isbell and Father John Misty last night. That was a great show. Never been a huge fan of FJM, but he was great live. And Jason (and the 400 Unit) was flat out fantastic.

vampire weekend was fucking awesome. Sounded way better than I expected. Played for over 2 hours. Got nearly all the hits. Good mix of all albums. In the encore they took requests from people wearing bucket hats lmao, so if anyone wants to hear a specific song u kno what to do
after the blues won they tried to play gloria and ezra was looking up lyrics on his phone. People went nuts
good vibes, everyone dancing and singing. one of the most fun concerts ive been to in a while

There's still pit tickets for the Chicago show tomorrow night. I really want to be there, but not deal with the hassle of getting to the venue. Really torn.
