Blossom 2022

Greatest single day venue is back for 2022. Last fall was a solid showing. This year it's on a Friday, normally weekday, hoping for a gem this year.

My wife and I are coming to this venue for the first time! We have never been able to do it before with the show on a weekday. I just visited this national park last year and there are some phenominal places to camp and hike. From what I hear, you definitely want to be in the pavilion at this venue. Hoping the Warehouse is good to me!

Blossom is in my hometown, will be there this year! Hopefully they do the Sirius XM Friday broadcast again, i feel like setlists are typically better for the broadcasted shows. pro tip at blossom, GET THE PARKING PASS! The grass lots can be awful. The single worst thing about Blossom is traffic, one way in, one way out.

Sound is incredible, pavilion or lawn, powerful clear acoustics. That goes to the design of the amphitheater, it really is unique in the country.

Lawn has good slope and sight lines. Last show I had good pavilion seats but spent half the show in an open spot to relax a bit. Great way to watch a show if you seen them up close for years.

Parking is exactly what was posted. Never had the pass but probably a great idea. Does take time to leave so if no rush plan 2 hrs to hang out.

Side note: DMB snubbed on rock n roll hall of Fame, again. No shows in Cincy or Pitt this year. Blossom is going to kill it this year!

First time blossomer here. Are all of the reserved seats under the cover of the pavilion? Last thing I want to do is drive from Pittsburgh and then stand in the rain.

All seats are under the roof, but the 40's sections are bench seating, no backs to the seats. i would only sit in the 40 sections if i had row A, the rest of them are garbage, you'd be better off saving your money and sitting in the lawn.

Probably a complete long shot, but schedule makes it possible. Kenny Chesney is playing Blossom on June 9 and Pittsburgh on June 11. Dave & Kenny recorded I'm Alive a few years back, could be a cool thing to see live.

It will be interesting to see how many guests this tour gets. Maybe some artists that canceled their tours would be willing to guest for 1 night with their schedules open? Does Blossom have a history of guests?

Not many since they did away with opening acts, but I know of these ones for sure. I'm not counting on anything this year, but you never know.

Yuck...looks like every seat in the pavilion (except the very back) is $140 a pop. Was it this way last year?

Other venues don't seem to be changed.

Me too, I was very disappointed by that development. Now with pendings it doesn't look like I am currently confirmed for the show.

This really is disappointing - last year - uppers were actually...uppers, right?

Also - if "uppers" this year truly refers to just that small section at the top - why would they allow you to request 4 seats when there's so few seats to go around in that area - does that make sense? Doesn't make a ton of sense to me.

Has anyone ever had bench sections (40's) from the WH at Blossom? I cant remember them ever messing with that section. I wonder how dynamic pricing will factor into that on the TM sale. Last year they had a lot of empty seats, but it was also on a Wednesday and Starlake/Riverbend had shows too.

First time going to Blossom. So what you guys are saying is that if I am confirmed at the $139.05 price level, I could be anywhere from the pit up to the last section before the lawn?

It doesn't appear like I will also get a preferred parking pass from WH. Is there high demand for this? Kind of felt like anyone who requested this would probably get it. Is it pretty easy to snag one of these on TM when tickets open up to general sale next Friday?

I had no problem snagging one last year. Will get one on TM this year too. It is very nice to have at Blossom, traffic is the absolute worst part about this venue.

So where on the live nation website do you purchase a parking pass? I am currently looking at events like Jack Johnson where tickets are already for sale and I do not see anywhere where you can buy a parking pass. Not trying to be annoying just trying to be prepared for next Friday!

Quick question that seems to be up for debate per some posts above: Are the 30s considered upper or lower pavilion? It does seem strange that the 40s would be the only area considered 'upper', given WH was allowing 4 tickets for that area and it's so small.

Have to disagree with the poster who said the last section in the pavilion (40s) isn't worth it, though. I've sat in those bench seats for a couple shows, including DMB last year, and I've found they provide a significant advantage over the lawn. Frankly, the lawn at Blossom, IMO, sucks. It's VERY hard to see compared to lawns at other venues due to the distance and the way the roof comes so far down. And ever since they added the 40 sections, it's even harder. To me, lawn at Blossom is just severely pointless if you have any interest in seeing anything, whereas I've found the 40 sections to actually provide a decent view.

In my experience, from the WH, the 30's are considered uppers. the 10's sections seem to be almost impossible to snag unless you are paying for premiums, platinum, or have season tickets (although sometimes you can get lucky). I do stand by my statement though on the 40's. To me it's either Row A, or not at all. I'd rather be in the lawn than in rows B or worse in the bench seats. Row A is great value, but everything behind it is packed in too close for my comfort, no cup holders, hard to see over people in front of you, etc. Lawn sucks at blossom, but you can make the best of it if you get there early--i typically only do lawn if I'm in a big group or at a show i dont really care too much about.

Everytime I have gotten Lowers for Blossom, they have been in the 20's (sometimes to the extreme edge though). In this era of ticketing, who knows.

I was confirmed for a pair of pits. Unsure yet, but I'd likely be down for trading them for a good pair of lowers once seat confirmations are up.
