Do you take requests??? If so… I was actually thinking about this earlier this week because two shows came to mind as I was listening.

Woodstock ‘99. Killer set that would be interesting to hear with some kind of remaster.

The radio broadcast of 7/26/02 is a delightful show but lacks a fuller sound and even at full volume can be quiet. Not much bass to that show.

Looking forward to frequenting this thread!

Can you share the broadcast of 7.26.2002? I only see the AUDs on DT.

    Re: New Remasters

I don't know if it is Christmas on not, like our good laststopdmb likes to say, but I have a new one, and it is a very good one.

1997.02.21 - Warfield Theatre, San Francisco, CA

    https://images2.imgbox.com/8a/07/VkSeG4cE_o.jpg

I don't know how man of you are familiar with this show. A DMB Buddy from Denver recommended this to me, and it is an incredible show.
This was about 1 year after Luther College, at Warfield theatre, San Francisco, where it was also recorded DMB Live vol.9 (5.10.1995).

    Link for the remaster:
    https://mega.nz/folder/achh1RxR#kXcv5M-sVr9j3F8f3_XBmA

The major part here wasn't actually the remastering, but the cleaning. This was a very challenging task.
For some reason, today like in 1997, if someone goes to see an acoustic Dave&Tim show, feels that he should shout and scream the whole time.
The tape (unknown) was full of shouts, whistles, coughs, etc.. I took my time to remove most of them with a specific pro-software (RX9 from iZotope), but still there is a relevant noise. Removing noise is a delicate operation because you don't want to affect the frequencies of the recording. It is like a surgery. So, it takes a lot of time. I did my best here, but I am sure you can still hear some noise.

When you concentrate on the music, this remaster it is just great. Dive into it, 2 and half hours of great performances and the funniest Davespeak. I have just discovered this show, and I felt in love with it. I hope you'll like it too.

    1993.01.26 - Trax, Charlottesville, VA

    https://images2.imgbox.com/82/03/9zkjjQ4O_o.jpg

Believe it or not, this is a TOP show. It goes very high in my list of DMB favourites.

    Link for the remaster:
    https://mega.nz/folder/TJhBARjR#G5KENlm_wTyGNTnmFcxOJQ

    The Moment:
The show is one of the latest Griesar's shows. He left the band 2 months after this date. Also, this is the last show with DMB playing People People.
As some of you might now, Capshaw owned Trax in 1993, and at that time, DMB Tuesdays at Trax became very popular. In fact DMB signed with Capshaw as the band manager few days after this gig, in February 1993.

    Highlights:
The 01/26/93 version of People People is known as one of the best around, mainly for the clean piano intro of Griesar and for the great solo of Roi in the second part. An absolute jam of a track that, according to the almanac, is the #1 in the liberation list, not being played for almost 30 years. As the almanac explains, since the song was co-written by Peter Griesar and is based around his playing, People People has not been played since he left the band in 1993.
The second part of the show has the participation of Kristin Asbury, a semi-unknown 90's musician.

    Random Thoughts:
    - I think that those 300 people at Trax, that night, have been extremely lucky.
    - Roi's solo in People People...whoa!
    - It is incredible how good Boyd sounds in Nancies... The final solo is great. So sad to observe the descent of this musician from the stars to the abyss.
    - Halloween at that time was much slower than today.
    - Chack out the segue Minarets > Blue Water (an extra long 12 min version of Blue Water).

    The Remaster:
Audio of the SBD was stunning. In the remaster, I have tried to enhance the good things, there was nothing wrong to hide. The band delivered an amazing performance, that night.

What can I say more? Just put on your headphones (even simple AirPods will make the job, in this one) and listen...

    My first Matrix!

    Link for the remaster:

    Highlights:
If you want to pick a song, go straight to Exodus with Haynes. First time Exodus has been played since 5.11.96. And this version is a great one, for sure.

    The Remaster:
Audio of the SBD wasn't bad, but it was mono!. In this remaster, I have used also the Bill Lakenan tape, mostly for filing in. Apart from the matrix, I have worked on widening, multiband compression and dynamic EQ.

Xcacel, if you are taking requests - the SiriusXM broadcast of the Alpine 7/5/03 show would be a good one. The original mix just sounds below average, and I really love the show. One of the best setlists ever, IMO. And that version of Last Stop is underrated, even with them botching the transition to the reprise.

Thanks for all you do for us on here!

See it's definitely just like Christmas...with the December release as well. This sounds incredible. I don't even want to say it, but just in case you have it, Lover Lay Down is missing from both folders. No big deal. Again, this is incredible. Thank you sooooo much!

Probably my favorite Say Goodbye ever, as well.

Nice job on Yoshi's bud; sounds alive and modern, the stereo imaging is nice and wide and you've maintained all the natural dynamics of the recording.

I know, mate. Lover Lay Down was missing also in my source. I had it in the Lakenan tape, but quality was so much lower than the rest, so I took the decision of skipping this one.

Thanks for all you do for us on here!
Ok, I will work on this soon.

Since this is coming from you, and I have a deep respect for your opinion when is about "how it sounds", this is the best compliment ever!

Wow, was not expecting such quick turnaround. I’ll look for that 7/26/02 audio.

I’ve listened to that Woodstock ‘99 set countless times and immediately hears the difference in #41 upon starting it. And that was on my phone. Can’t wait to hear this on good speakers! Thanks!!!

Believe it or not, this is a TOP show. It goes very high in my list of DMB favourites.
