WPB or Englewood?

I live in Atlanta right now, and have no one willing to go see DMB with me, so I've decided I may try to travel on my own and scoop tickets for a two nighter, which would be a first. Can I get some opinions on what would be more worth the trip? I've been to 15-16 shows since 2002 and after listening to the sets from this weekend with no repeats, I've decided I'd really love that experience first hand.

Also, if I do this I'll be flying solo, so would love to meet some new faces!

Never been to CO but this will be my 3rd trip to WPB. I enjoy it and the ocean is always a plus! Curious what your first show was?

As a WPB regular and native south Floridan, I’m biased. But i have definitely gotten the feeling over the years that this is one of his most energetic places! You might have heard it’s usually the last 2 shows before the mid-tour break so I’m sure that plays into it (although this year they play a make-up date the day after in AL). But looking up into the palm trees at night and such a great tailgate crowd... this is the highlight of the year I can’t wait ! Come hang at our tailgate if you make it down!

How's the lawn there? Worth it, or should I look for something closer?

    First show was Atlanta 12/11/02!

I will definitely let you know if I do! Since I am in Atlanta this makes the most sense for me, and so far it seems easier to find tickets for this show. If you (or anyone reading this) has any single extras please keep me in mind!

Lawns not to bad! And like the post above said it's lined with palm trees which is cool as hell. Heck yes that was my 2nd show! First was a few months earlier at lakewood.

Alright I'm down for West Palm. Managed to convince two buddies although they are going for N1 only. Anyone looking to hand N2?

Currently live in Denver and will be doing N2. You've got a ton of parks (including Red Rocks) all within a thirty-fifty minute drive of Englewood.

Colorado is a great place in the summer. Florida is not.

But based on shows, WPB easily. Neither venue is all that special. WPB is a typical shed. Fiddler's (Englewood) isn't a shed per se, because there's no roof, but it's basically still a cookie cutter amphitheatre in the middle of an office park. And it's all the bigger shame to be at such an ordinary venue when you know that the best venue in the world is just across town.

Also, the first few shows after they've been off for a few weeks are not likely to be anything special, whereas they are much more likely to bring it as they wind up the end of this leg of the tour.

I tend to agree with the above.

Florida- beach in morning, storms in late afternoon, early evening - usually great shows.

Colorado- lots to see and do (as I pack up for my Denver flight tomorrow) - but I'm not going out there for DMB.

The venue is not amazing, however they always play great shows before the tour break. Tailgating is great here in my opinion as it is very laid back.

Except the guy that stole the undercover Palm Beach Sheriff's truck after the show in 2012 & crashed it. The Chinese Lantern incident in 2014 where they played Burnin' Down The House after.

Now that I think about it, it's a great show.

I live here and the heat and humidity is brutal, however I have come to love those hot summer nights every damn year.
