Anyone else get their ticket from TicketMaster yet? I got mine and the ticket is literally half the size as usual and I see no barcode. It just seems very odd to me.

Just happened to come across your post and we got TM tickets for Blossom and Burgettstown that are the same as what you describe. We're going to call TM and find out if this is legit or what.

I'm doing the same on Monday probably. Keep me updated if you talk to them sooner!

They’re “smart” tickets. No barcode. They have a chip inside them. Tap at the venue on the scanner to get in. There were instructions inside the envelope.

Speaking of, and since we're in this thread, I like the new "smaht" furniture commercial for Jordan's furniture.

I’m trying to get a Ticketmaster refund for the Mansfield show, but it’s the only show I don’t see an option for a refund for on tm or ln.

Anyone have any idea as to why?

    Thanks.

I say if restrictions ease up we can all meet up in that $60 lot on July 17 of this summer and tailgate, playing some DMB tunes. At least the lots will be free and you won't have a problem leaving.

I still think there are still people in line from last June's dmb show trying to leave the free lot still.

LOL I've seen DMB in Mansfield since the Mid 90's and I know this all too well. A few years ago my car was legit one of the last to leave the lots and it had to be close or after 1am.

Before premium parking was a thing, we used to save some burgers/steaks/whatever and then head back to the car, break out the grill and hang out until everything died down. It was easier (and way less infuriating) than idling in a car. Security came by once or twice and told us it was time to pack up and go.

Great shows, but man that's a tough exit.

Just curious, if you leave the lot ahead of others(like say you leave during the final song and beat most people to your car) is it still impossible to get out or is it just if you get caught in the rush you are screwed?

If you want to beat the traffic for real, even if you are in the pay lots, you want to start walking during the encore. My system is I usually wait to see the first song is going to be of the encore and unless its earth shattering or something that I'm in the mood to hear, I start jogging or walking fast during the first notes of the first song of the encore. If I'm in the first pay lot on the right off the highway, I boogey right to the side walking path that connects that lot to the free lots and make it to my car with the wife and we get out of dodge. If you are in the free lots and are not completely boxed in by, say a jersey barrier or another car or someone left their grill out and you can't get around, it is plausible to make it to your car in the free lots and get out with maybe a 15 minute wait, depending where you are in the free lots.

The problem with Mansfield of course is the bottleneck to the one area that everyone is trying to get to to leave. If they could somehow, maybe way in the way back corner to the left if facing the amphitheater somehow put another 2 lane exit, it would alleviate congestion so much.

But as others will attest to, I have a lot of fun tailgating at Mansfield. I don't know exactly why, but once you're settled and sitting with friends and drinking, it's all about the moments you make. Really, that's anywhere you go but for me I have a lot of fun memories of Mansfield and do love tailgating there. I miss the days when you could get there at 1pm and setup shop and drink and party to 7pm, but too many drunks (even under-aged) squashed that, and rightfully so.

I have great Mansfield memories too...but the lots are tough. You have to make it out before they shut down the exit for the tour busses. The boys leave right after the show, so when the lights come on after the encore, the police shut down the main exit (Again, Mansfield is a bottleneck) for the tour busses. And they're closed until the band leaves. You are stuck if you're not out before that.

I had luck leaving after the first encore from the free lots. Whichever year they played Blue Water E1, I stayed and watched that and then headed for my car. I was able to listen to Watchtower on my way out and then hit the road no problem, but like someone else said - it was before the band left the venue so I could get out quickly. I think it was 2013, because it was a Sunday show that I bought a solo ticket to that morning (I went with my normal concert crew the night before) and had to work the next day. I think it's also the only time since the 2008 shows that I didn't buy the premium parking.

I usually end up right behind the busses when I leave as E1 starts and park in the pay lot.

EZ Out $$$ is sometimes 60 bucks from my experience.

BTW, does anyone know of something else besides balloons that you can use to identify your car for meeting up with folks for tailgating? Balloons are super helpful but the wife has totally gone green and suggested "they're not good for the environment." Which, whatever. I can fly a banner I guess. Unless there's eco friendly balloons out there. LOL.

Justin, quick question. If I park my car at the Holiday Inn and just jump on the shuttle to and from the show (and w/out needing the easy pass obviously when leaving), do they check to see if you're staying at the hotel? Like, there's no way to verify right? That's super handy for people boozing before and after the show and don't want to deal with the traffic driving themselves.

Oh damn. I dunno, that’s not a bad idea though. They might do something with parking?

Wasn't going to go in 2020 (due to a conflict with my Phish at the Gorge trip).

2021 looking better. Hope to run into some of you fine folk this year. Considering the VIP parking, but happy to eat a post-concert burger in the concrete apocalypse that is Mansfield's parking lot.

Nice and glad to see this thread bumped. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Love tailgating at Mansfield but hate the exit after the show.

I have a feeling this place is going to be rocking with "Hani, Hani.......Coooooome aaaand DAAAAANNNCCEEE with me" throughout the evening.
