Remember when fans wanted Shotgun released and they did on the 2007 Summer tour sampler with piedmont park? How did that happen? I think everyone on here emailed the warehouse begging them to release that song and they listened. I know I emailed them as I really wanted a good version of Shotgun. I want a Bismark too. At this point, I'm just wondering how they pick these releases? I'm happy with this Live trap and 51 but I still don't understand their logic on picking them. So many shows with high fan demand. Maybe they just don't give a fuck.

It would be cool if they selected 5 or 10 possible shows and then let the fans select which one to be released. 1 vote per warehouse membership or something.

Would love this show released but if not at least the 41 with Mayer on a WH disc. He kills it.

We all want this show. Whenever the band releases a '07 show there's lots of grumbling why this show wasn't selected instead. Wasn't as bad when LT42 was announced, but it sure was pronounced when LT51 was selected.

Man I just scrolled through the summer 2000 tour sets. Wow, I’d buy everyone they released from that tour.

2007 was such a rough year, and we have like a half dozen releases from it or something, and STILL no Hollywood Bowl show. It's more or less acknowledged that there are too many guests on it for a release, or one of the guests is a stick in the mud about releasing it. I'm pretty sure it was the #1 most requested Live Trax back when Ants first implemented that Vote For Live Trax button in Tour Central.

If we haven't gotten it by now, we're never getting it. But then they did pull Hershey '04 out of nowhere, so who knows...

I just don't see the point to not hitting every fan favorite show at this point. 50+ LT releases, and over 100+ official releases total. Who's buying this stuff anymore except the hardcore collectors or fans that perk when a truly great show is released? All these random shows like LT 52 feel pointless to me. Sure they probably sound decent, because DMB is a very good band. But why bother releasing anything at all anymore? Don't we all have enough shows? The only reason should be to get the truly great stuff out of the vaults finally, seems like easy $$$ left on the table to me.

I think it’s as simple as the band/mgmt wants to keep making money for as long as possible after DMB hangs it up. If they release all the highly sought after shows now what’s left to be released years down the road? We know the 4.0 shows (that haven’t been already released) aren’t going to be in high demand years from now.

You're probably right. Took them 15 years to release Hershey '04 (not saying it's the best '04 show, but it was highly requested all these years).

At that rate, we should get Hollywood '07 in 2025.

Looking at LT51 and LT52, they must have several shows ready to be released having worked ahead before they announce what the next LT is. I sometimes wonder how many shows management sometimes sits on that could be released today if they had the artwork for it.

They haven't released an international show in a while. I think it's time for Dave Matthews Band: Live in Abu Dhabi!

This is what I don't understand. I feel like at this stage of the band's career, and the Live Trax series, these choices should be almost batting 1.000, not .250.

Maybe we overestimate the difference that show selection really has on sales.

But I wonder if it's a conscious decision to continually withhold many of the "best" shows from this series, or if the people (person?) selecting them is really that oblivious.

I can't buy the notion that so many of these classic shows are gonna be released 5-10-15 years from now, or whenever the band calls it quits, and sell better than they would sell now. But I guess those classics are more likely to squeeze more juice from the orange in the future than the mediocre LT selections they're giving us now would.

Since 2014 is finally getting another release then these years will be due: 1995, 1996 (been four years- bet there’s a fair number left), 1998 (same as 1996), 1999 (only one dmb show which was five years ago), 2000 (been a looong time), 2001 (one commercial release - Folsom Field + 1 Live Trax from Camden in June 2001 maybe Chicago from July 2001 - that one was on the radio), 2002 (just the Gorge Box Set & one Live Trax from Madison Square Garden which was four years ago), 2003 (one regular release- Central Park + one Live Trax - Sacramento 2003 which was released seven years ago), 2005 (we’ve never had a Live Trax from 2005 we’ve had 2005 come out but only the Rocks box set. Never had November/December in any way - Live Trax or not), 2006 (only two. Been seven years since the opening night concert was released), 2008 (I know we had a bunch within the time frame of October 2008-June 2009 + one in November 2010 - the last to date was in November 2010), 2009 (one Live Trax +the Europe box set - the sole live trax was nearly five years ago - that one will be one of the next ones due), 2010, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019.
Anyone know good ones for each of those years?

Dave was exhausted at the '05 Saratoga show but the band was really on display and picking up the slack; I'll be giving it another listen Thursday...

Weird...I came across the same show yesterday and thought the same thing. Set list wise it looks like a great show!

A venue that needs some love form the Live Trax series is the former Columbus, OH venue, Polaris Amphitheater.
Had they not shut that place down I think it had the potential to eventually become a favorite venue (if it wasn't already). There were some incredible shows played there which often get overlooked.
One of the best shows I ever attended was 8/6/02. My first show in a reserved seat (18th row!) and the energy in that place was off the charts.

    1996

1998 MY FIRST SHOW!!! but other than that, nothing too special about this one other than it being solid from start to finish.

2003 - Tour openers and the first true liberation of songs like Last Stop and Dreaming Tree (Boyd WAS crazy out of tune, but maybe they could fix in post)

2005 - say what you will about this year, but both nights were great shows and featured Robert Randolph. I would definitely take N2.

Haven't lived in Columbus in over 16 years, but havea lot of great memories from this venue while starting out as a DMB fan.

I had a bootleg of that 2000 tour opener and it's great but I doubt it'll get a release as Dave totally flubs the second verse to #41, which was actually pretty awesome with the ad-lib lyrics he came up with. I don't recall any other big flubs but I'd love a soundboard of that DDTW with the 12-string. If we get another 2000 show then I want Denver since I was there.

I'd buy those 2005 Columbus sets.

What would be a good D&F some Devil tour (December 2003-January 2004) show to release?
