Anyone have any luck adding on 1 day through the resort? May be cheaper to find a Wednesday flight for example and add that night.

Yes, people have successfully added a night directly thru the resort in the past though I believe in rare instances, they've had to change rooms. I think they've been pretty accommodating overall though

The Grand ain't worth the extra grand for us, but I also ain't gonna tell you what to do with your money either

Been to both resorts. If it weren't for a D&T show 100% yes it's worth it. Food, service, pools, rooms are better. BUT you won't be using most of those amenities.
