    That breakdown was such a train wreck. Might have been the worst performance of the song from last summer. Still love JTR, though.

    Agree 100%. Boyd can't do the run like he used to do (is supposed to do I guess). So the horns kinda did some dischordant stuff to cover and Dave made it seem like it was intended.

    I'm pretty sure that's what Boyd intended to do. They all just kind of start playing random notes, that was clearly intended.

    That was an incredible version of that song, wow. THAT is DMB. I wish they would still right crazy songs like that. When you sit and really listen to that song there really is no other band that compares to that kind of song or songwriting. Songs like that are why I fell in love with this band.

    I'm blown away by how many if you don't realize that was intentional hahaha.

    Intentional in the sense that Boyd can't play the run he's supposed to so they made it like oh shit we're ALL fucking up. (Hey look Billy Madison peed his pants ....Elliot did too, alright!)

    Trust me if he could play it the way he's supposed to they wouldn't have done that....

    That said it doesn't ruin that version for me - glad it came back last year for a little.....

    Sorry man but you are just incorrect. They did the same thing in 2010. That section is supposed to sound crazy and chaotic. I think it's really cool. But agree to disagree I guess.

    Boyd couldn't play (or maybe just remember at that point) his part in 2010 either. That was the year he started playing crazy shit instead of his set lines for the Too Much bridge.

    If it could be played as recorded (played for years) it would have been.

    We disagree on this but at least agree it wasnt a bad performance....

    I just think they like to change things up a bit. He didn't play it as recorded in 2006 either. The 2006 versions were a bit more like this in which he was striking random notes and the horns were also just squeaking and playing random notes. I just think it's supposed to be a little crazy in this section and I think that sounds fun! He sounds great on the rest of the song too. But again, agree to disagree :-)

    I'm with Chad in thinking there will be a Dreamgirl dropped soon...only bummer is that it isn't from this show. The intro to that show was absolutely beautiful. They're nailing these videos though. This has been a great set of releases thus far!

    Yeah that JTR is great. I love the crazy breakdown, really don't think it has anything to do with Boyd. If he can still barely pull off his Pig parts, he can easily do JTR. I don't think it has anything to do with Boyds abilities, they just like to change things up.
