Agreed. Would even love to see a "column" approach. Jake posted a full breakdown of what made each track a special one, so even having that + the stories behind them in one place would be fantastic.

Jake, can you comment/do you know where the decision to have this, A) available exclusively on vinyl (at first) and B) to get it pressed at Pallas, came from? They deserve a big thanks from the DMB vinyl community.

I don't know anything about the pressing - thats a bit out of my wheelhouse, but the plan from day 1 was Vinyl.

Whoever was responsible for that decision, kudos. You cant pick a better pressing house than Pallas. Everyone involved in Live 25 has my gratitude, that release is as pristine as it gets.

I absolutely adore the vinyl rip of this set. I will buy the actual digital files at some point- but this sounds so damn good already.

that's me. Matt and I co-founded Ants, opened shop in 2002. I mentioned how we came across #41 in a podcast - so you don't have to go digging thru (and I have no idea which) basically we were going thru a bunch of 98 #41's and one stood out - was really a perfect Roi performance - sax and flute were just spot on. Dave's vocal was there, it was truly one of the best we'd heard.

After I went to figure out which it was (I used to listen to maybe 8-10 performances in a row of the same song), turns out it was a 1996 song, not a 98. I had accidentally moved the wrong year into the folder, but it worked out!

maybe one day they'll let the team tell the story b/c every song has a story like that. Literally every one.
This is a great story because the 41 on this album is right up there with LS, and to be frank, it think it has even more energy. Great picks man, thank you

I second that. I've been very impressed with it since I purchased it. Well worth it!

Still upset with myself for not getting this. I just didn't have the means at the time to drop $200 on it. Would really love a reissue, but the chances of that seem slim to none. $430-$800 on Discogs, blech.

It's an awesome collection, but the digital version satiates my need at that crazy price point. I'd pay like $75 tops for it.

One of the (if not) the best release this management put out. So glad to have this collection especially with how terrible WH releases have been lately.

Lol exactly. Amazing what happens when long time diehards put together something for diehard fans, as opposed to "Let's choose this mediocre show because we can put out a slew of DMB themed merchandise with OHIO on it!"

Unless you're looking for pennies on the dollar for used records, taking something like this to your local record store is a baaaad idea.

List it on discogs or ebay (or post it here and see if anyone needs it).

What are you looking to get for it? I missed the boat on grabbing this and would like to do so if yours is in reasonable condition.

he told that #41 story and posted that he needed to see what stories he could tell. maybe that was one he wasn't supposed to tell and RLM whacked him. that would explain his sudden disappearance.
