This is getting worse and worse.

I wonder if he got mad and did it because she hung up on him...?

Obviously not something he would do if he was sober, but even prescription pills can make you do some weird and unpredictable stuff.

Sad that people would jump to other conclusions so early.

This video is like time travelling, a few snippets of it were used in PJ20 but this is the full thing.

My brother writes for a music blog and attended the show in Detroit. He just posted a short piece he wrote about the experience, in case anyone is interested:

The plan is to construct a memorial in the plot the family just bought next to Johnny Ramone.

Well earlier in this thread you were saying that he died while masturbating to his wife on Facetime and she knew exactly what happened to him. Is that worse? Or maybe we're just supposed to forget that you said all that?

Good Lord what a voice! I know he wasn't able to hit those notes the last few years, but he still sounded damn good in Tuscaloosa 3 weeks ago. I always think it's a waste of time to record a ton of video at a concert instead of just enjoying the show, but I really wish i had taken more than one short video of that show now. At least it's on youtube.

No. I still much prefer that's the case as opposed to a rock hero turned into a junky again. Hence, why I said "this is getting worse and worse". Still holding out hope.

Yes, but what I read was that they are building a statue/memorial which will be placed on the plot of land next to Ramone.

He definitely has some off nights, but the show I saw Jan 2013 when I was lucky enough to get railed dead front and centre right in front of Cornell he hit every fucking note he wanted to - soaring, powerful, so dominant. I am so thrilled that of all the Soundgarden shows I saw, the only one I was railed for was the best. Plus, 2h45m, 29 songs, stunning.

My only regret is selling my Friday tickets of the two night stand in Toronto before the tour started as I had no idea the set lists would be changed up so much from night to night. Damn.

I was just thinking, is there a "celebrity" death for any of you guys were, if you found out super late at night or even early in the morning, you'd be SO emotionally wrecked, you'd actually have to like call out of work that day? cause initially when this happened, it really hit me hard and like I said I cried, only the 3rd time ever I've cried when hearing about someone famous. But after awhile I thought, god if this was Eddie Vedder we found out about, I didn't even wanna think about how massive my reaction would be. that's a guy who's meant everything to me musically since my mid-teens.
well, and though he doesn't exactly mean a lot to the music scene currently right now, but Billy Joel is another one where when he goes, I'm not gonna handle it well. He's still my favorite solo artist of all time, he was like a religion in my house as a kid.

Eddie Vedder had the first show of his little solo tour take place last night in Amsterdam. Cornell's name was never directly mentioned, but it's said here (and some video) that it was obviously weighing VERY heavily on Ed's mind during the performance.

    https://consequenceofsound.net/2017/...setlist-video/

although, the writer mentions how the lyrics for Long Road were changed here to "without you something's missing" (instead of "still something's missing")... true, the original studio recording of the song wasn't exactly that, but Ed's been singing those words in live versions of the tune for many years now.
