Going to see Kamasi Washington this upcoming Monday. Last show of the year (aside from the Nutcracker ballet - treat for my wife putting up with my concerts). Pretty sad to see this year end.

However 2018 is already shaping up nicely.

Nah, maybe someday. I don't like the idea of buying a wristband to a festival where you can get turned away at the doors because you didn't show up to the show as early as the other festival goers.

I almost went to see her in August, but it was just a little bit more than I wanted to pay for someone I'm not that invested in.

I like her and she's talented, but $50+ is a lot for someone I'm just kinda casually into.

This ended up being a disappointment. The show is billed as "Bon Iver" and I went assuming it was going to be Bon Iver full band like Boston Calling, ended up just being Justin Vernon solo, he played for under an hour including an encore break. Nothing like busting my ass from 3:30PM - 8:00 and driving three hours to get to a show where he plays 8:25 - 9:20, he's talented and I'm aware solo sets are generally shorter but bill it as such.
