No kidding. It's never good, but when there's an event downtown its like 10x worse. BTW that was probably my mini-van with the firedancer.

Question for my yinzers. Planning to get tickets at the Benedum Center, and have a chance to buy some in the grand circle/orchestra pit; Row EE, but the seats are all the way on the left. Anyone have experience here or could comment on how the view might be?

Ive sat very close to the end of that side before. Im not sure how far back EE is, if its back near the overhang youll be fine. If its closer to the stage youll lose a little bit of sight line stage right but in all reality its not bad.

EE is in the grand circle/orchestra pit; so basically where the musicians would be if there were any (there's not for this play). So it's 5 rows from the stage.

From this picture - http://photos.cinematreasures.org/pr...jpg?1482864420 - it looks like we'll be okay as the pit is in the enclosed arch area. Might lose some of stage right but I think we'll be okay.

    Thanks for the insight!

Yeah if anything youll lose a touch. Still great seats. Love the benedum. What are you seeing?

also FYI, proper brick oven and tap room right across the block is a fantastic mid/high end pizza/italian place.

Taking the wife to see Wicked in February!

Thanks for that recommendation, too. We'll definitely check that out!

Good read about the increasing numbers of concert venues around town:

I’m looking forward to checking out the Roxian

That’s good to hear. I’ll be checking out a show there in November.

I used to think it would be great to have a HOB here because I think the Cleveland one is great. But between Jergels, Stage AE, HardRock, Mr Smalls, and now Roxian I think the area has that size venue covered.

Cattivo even has a bunch of shows. There are tons of venues now. Roxian looks interesting.

One of the most yinzer things to do has to be to give driving directions via landmarks that USED to exist. For example, “head north on McKnight and if you pass where TGI Friday’s used to be you’ve gone too far.”

I just called to check on an appointment location and the automated recording actually said, “git off-at 910 n goh left. It’s across-ed from-ehr carmody’s use-da be at.”

I don’t know whether or not to

    Or

My wife grew up in the south hills. I (without any context) asked her if she knew where the cannon in Brookline is. She responds, “of course i do! Everyone does!”

I nearly fell off my chair laughing!

Desperately seeking sax! I'm jamming with a couple guys north of Pittsburgh. We are looking for accent of horn, or violin or keys. Figured I'd start searching the ant forums and leaving some posts. Hope everyone is doing great, and if anyone knows anyone who is in the Pittsburgh area (horn, violin, keys) we are ready to jam. Please hook me up!
