Anyone been to a show this tour that can give rough estimate when they hit the stage? My first show will be in Chicago tomorrow night. Can’t wait.

In Portland, the opener went on at 8 and The National went on at 9

Call the venue around midday and ask for the set times. I do this for every show I go to and you'll be able to get the exact time no issue from them and give you peace of mind you won't miss it.

Anyone else going? I wasn't able to swing the Chicago dates so this feels like a can't miss.

When they first announced the festival a month or so ago, I was just excited to see that they were playing more shows in the midwest. I probably would've gone regardless of the other performers.

I didn't even hesitate to buy my ticket when they announced the undercard yesterday though.

Same! Two full "unique" shows from the National in a town I enjoy for a good price...I bought my tickets well before this announcement.

I had a feeling the lineup was going to be awesome and sure enough, it is. Super excited to see Julien Baker, Future Islands (saw them in October but I've only gotten more into them lately), Big Thief, Lord Huron...well, pretty much everyone on the bill!

Going to be an incredible weekend.

    Re: The National

I'm curious if two "unique" shows means two completely different setlists, or how they've done their two night stands on the SWB tour where there are repeats but a good number of different songs each night. I hope its the former.

EDIT: Looking at their most recent two nighter for reference there were 11 repeats, and 11-12 unique songs each night. So either way you're going to get a good spread.

It's such a g'damn buzzkill, but our Berkeley Greek Theater show that got cancelled due to Cali fires has been rescheduled to a day I can't go now. Such a bummer. Probably means I wont see National this year now. Was super stoked about the Daughter opener too. Just so many feelings of "what if".

I was gonna go down to shaky knees but realized it's the same weekend as a wedding I'm attending. so I probably can't catch them this year either

I got an email from the Homecoming event coordinators shortly after I posted that Twitter link, which confirmed that they'll be playing Boxer in its entirety during the Sunday (4/29) set.

For anyone who's interested and can't attend the entire festival, the email also noted that daily tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 am ET.

Yep and while yea you lose a bit of the "what comes next" suspense, you're guaranteed to hear an amazing batch of songs, a number of which you have a very low chance of hearing at a typical National show.
