This blew my mind tonight! After hearing them end the second verse and go into the chorus... Some of the crowd seemed to know what was going on. Then the third verse started, and you could hear some of the crowd get as excited as I was sitting on my living room couch listening to the SiriusXM broadcast! Glad to hear I wasn't alone in how happy that made me tonight!

was right there with you. was eating dinner with my family and was like "holy shit" they just went into the third verse. such a cool moment.

My first show was 12.11.02. I was lucky enough to hear the whole song that night and never did again, 79 shows later with a ton of Grey Street plays in there. Hope this lasts all summer.

12.14.02 for me. Crazy how it was just a few days later on the Conan appearance that they dropped it.

Grey St is a great song but felt lacking ever since. Cannot wait to see the full version this summer.

Glad the fans gave Dave the nod in real time for this last night. He deserves a lot of credit for doing this. They’ve been playing the song for 19 years 1 way and made the entire band adjust. Would’ve been easier to jsut say oh well.

This is hands down the best version of this song since 08, and not just because of the third verse. Grey Street has been a cluster to listen to for years but this is the smoothest, most controlled and best it’s sounded in a long time. Grey Street was my favorite song the second I heard it in 2000 but then they continued to ruin it. Hearing how they played it Friday may have been one of the most satisfying things this band has done in years. The horn duel at the end doesn’t even bother me because they’re actually playing with dynamics. Exciting stuff.

Jumped into this thread to relish in the 3rd verse return glory but to ALSO say exactly this^^. Slow, controlled, deliberate Grey St perfection. Incredible stuff. This "return/debut" alone has me ecstatic for this tour.
