Songs you forgot you’ve seen

I was listening to tapes of past shows I’ve attended today, and Sugar Will came up. I realized I have absolutely zero recollection of ever seeing that song, despite how much time I spent wishing I could see it. Same goes for Shotgun (seen it 3x and have no memory of it) and The Riff (seen twice). I’ve seen Can’t Stop 4x and only barely remember seeing one of them.

Does this happen to any of you? I saw Good Good Time twice as well and only remember the liberation, not the second performance. Some of these are songs I wanted so badly and after getting them, I can’t remember a second of it.

Lol, I have a show like that too. 11/6/10 at Wells Fargo. Browned at right at the start, vaguely remember the Stone, and don't remember anything until Jimi Thing.

Saw the liberation of Let You Down open the show at Deer Creek a few years back, my buddy was entering brown out stage as we finished a flask on the way in...the next morning he didn't believe me when I was talking about LYD

Saw #27 in one of the acoustic sets, and 2019 at Alpine...don't remember either time for some reason. And I like that song and enjoy crossing songs off the list, just have no memory of either one.

    This describes me too.

If not for Tour Central or the almanac I would have no idea what songs I've seen.

I forgot I've seen The Dreaming Tree. Was thinking I needed it to complete BTCS, but nope, caught it at the Gorge.

The band hosted a festival in Chicago about a decade back that I allegedly attended.

Cool thread. Really made me think, had to refer to my tour stats.
I totally forgot Sleep to Dream Her 5/29/13 Montage Mountain
On the opposite end a song I’ll never forget seeing: Spoon 9/14/03 VA Beach.

To answer OP, i think I can say without a doubt at height of my fandom, I knew what songs I heard. Now, I would maybe miss a few covers but know what studio songs I’ve heard

For good reason I have forgot seeing time of the season and superstition at the gorge 2018. But the thing that haunts me, that cornbread, sadly i'll never forget.
