That was super great. Very big fan of this show after that episode. Favreau is such a treasure for nerd culture.

I would think so. We've only ever seen that species in one or two other characters outside of the main one. Would be really neat to learn more about them.

Yes. We’ve seen 2 of them already in the films... this will be the third (and I’m guessing offspring/relation of the 2 previous...

Tonight there was a cast Q&A followed by a screening of the first 3 episodes at the El Capitan Theatre.

    Link to the Q&A: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIsO_Wfxczw

Non-spoiler reaction from a guy who works at Collider:

    https://twitter.com/colliderfrosty/s...77915739172864

@colliderfrosty: Seeing @themandalorian on a movie screen is a *completely* different experience.

If you liked the way episode 1 ended you are going to be VERY happy with ep 2 and 3.

    Love what I saw tonight.

Loved the first ep. The music really took me by surprise though, not Star Warsy at all...I'm guessing that was intentional to distinguish SW television from the films.

Watched episode 2 this morning, and I’m loving this show.

I’m assuming we can talk episode 1 spoilers now, but does the baby have a name?

Not watching the show but the scene you're talking about is all over the internet. The article I read just called him "baby Yoda" Will be interesting to read more about this as the series continues.

Caught up last night. Was not looking forward to this at all until I learned it was post RotJ and fills in that 30 year gap before TFA.

Episode 1 was great and it really drew me in. Cool stuff happening.

They're really going for a western feel with the show, and it's evident with the music. It's really cool and fits the bounty hunter theme well.

I love how they are really exploring these alien species that have really just been background filler for the last 40 years and giving them a life of their own. Between the ugnaut and Jawas it’s a whole other side to these species.

I loved the taxi stand in ep 1.

Also, was the guy running the taxi stand the same guy from Mos Eisly ANH or just same species? We'll probably never know but fun to think about.

Seeing the Jawas in action outside of what we've seen was pretty cool. That was something I did enjoy in Solo and Episode III when they showed Wookiees doing more than just being Chewbacca.

I like how they're not going all crazy with the CGI. It's pretty reminiscent of ep. 4-6. I hope that Bob Weir looking character sticks around more.

No to be super nerdy, as I haven’t watched anything besides the movies or read anything besides Shadows of the Empire, but there’s a TON of material that’s considered canon that goes into all sorts of side characters. From animated series to books to comics there’s a lot to the universe outside the movies that aficionados count as official.

Can you imagine the outrage if baby Yoda had been spoiled by a toy? Remember when they released a Star Wars Hot Wheels CAR called Rey Skywalker and the internet lost its mind?
